    Bought one of the Alcatel 1x mobiles yonks ago to have a play with and ended up bricking it. They're locked to Telstra, and from what I found online aren't unlockable without paying $$ to Telstra (as generic "pay $X for an unlock code" websites cannot unlock these models). Might have changed since I last played in this space, but a warning just in case.
