  Is there anyway to extract the exe so that I can install it after the giveaway day?

    I would think that you just need to activate it today - then you can install it wherever you like, and use your activated account. I haven't tried, as I have Fraps, but I imagine that this is how it works.

    Just grab the download ASAP, install and register it. Then you'll have an account.

    During installation, it will create a temporary file which is the actual app installer. Copy that temporary file to another location before the installation finished.

      Just wondering where and what name they store it.

        Check the your task manager(I am not sure you need to show process from all users or not), find a file that run from a temp folder, usually that is the file you are looking for.
        The file name might use .tmp file extention(can't remember, need to try it again)

        when you get to the actual playclaw setup, leave it open and go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local and look for the most recent .tmp file (you can sort folder contents by date).

        This will be the playclaw installer, just save it to another folder and change the .tmp to .exe and its fine to keep elsewhere with your key.

        mine ended up being called we273EE.tmp

        Found it.

        1. Run the download setup.exe and stop in the installation process.
        2. Start task manager, go to applications see if it is running.
        3. Right click the process, go to process and you will see which one it is.
        4. Right click Open file location.
        5. Rename it back to xxx.exe

        BTW, I am using WIN7.

        Download Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653). It's a portable program that is like an enhanced task manager. Look for a file that is running under the original setup file and right click on it then click Properties. Look under the Image tab for the files path (it will be a hidden file located in a temp directory under a random name). You have to copy it while the setup is running as it deletes it afterwards.

      But would this help at all with registration? according to the read me the registration is done after it is installed….

        the serial in the .txt file can be applied to the install outside of the giftoftheday installer

  Be warned that after installation a popup will appear to install giveawayoftheday application on your computer and add bookmarks, you can cancel/close it but it's a bit dodgy..

  If I make videos of BF3 with this, do they include the sound?

  If yes, do they include the voice channel chat?

  Would be cool if so, because some very funny stuff gets said from time to time…

    My understand is that this records all sound, yes. If you use Ventrilo or Teamspeak, it even flashes the name of the person talking on screen. Pretty cool.

  looks okay. I'll be happy using it. Lots of options in it, you can watch CPU and CPU load as well.
