Be aware that the headband is very weak and will split after 3 or 4 months of gentle use rendering them useless

    • yeah just saw the reviews… not worth it at even $35 for the hassle trying to sort out warranty would be, and someone even wrote that headband isn't covered under warranty (I'm sure in Australia we can argue that point)

      • man I just had this happen to me and they split after 9 months, and officeworks refused to take them back as they are "physically damaged". Have a fair trading case on them as we speak.

        • I got a pair of Plantronics Backbeat 505 in a JB half-price email offer a couple of years ago. Exact same thing happened - used them gently but regularly, and after a year or so the plastic headband split on the inside middle, rendering them unusable. Got the same response when I returned them to JB - "physical damage, sorry, nothing we can do". Tried a second JB and they accepted the return and found me a replacement, which I don't expect to last long either.

It's a shame, since the sound on Plantronics headphones is usually pretty damn good, and they handle phone calls well.

All 3 links were out of stock so I paid $4.2 more as the price is very enticing. You need to choose White color to get it for $39.2

I actually found the headphones good for my purposes. They were quote comfortable and switching was not bad (between 2 sources), but the headband splitting killed things for me. Only issue prior was occasional rest, when it happens on a zoom call puts you out of it for at least 30s to a minute, but didn't happen often (once every couple of weeks)

  • Got these and returned them - very average even for $35

Very good product have used them for 12 months + with no issues. Had plantronics stuff in the past and warranty has always been top

  • how do 3 different shops all have the same price error? Collusion?

    • +2

It's all the same store, Mobileciti. The error would've been in their main catalogue system, which pushed it out to all their storefronts.
