    It should be illegal to sell cases that have perspex blocking the front fans. I wish the worthless RGB craze would go away and the money would be spent on making cases that cool properly.

      Just from a quick look through the pictures, the gaps in the front are quite big and should provide plenty of airflow. Definitely a lot more airflow than other popular cases such as the NZXT h510 elite.

    • I think there are gaps on the sides so it can still suck in air.

      The problem I see with putting RGB is the heat caused by LED.
      Recently got a cheap LED strip and after as quick as 1 minute, touching the strip it is very warm. So even small LED produce a lot of heat.
      I think this RGB LED heat will add heat to your fan / PC.

      • I waited about 3 months for replacement mesh cases for the Cooler Master TD500 which I had got with a perspex front on a pre-built PC from JW computers. The tiny little vents around the edges were worthless. Difference between mesh and perspex front is 8-10 degrees C on GPU and CPU. Before I knew these were available I had modded the case with wire mesh from bunnings and panyhose as filters. Damn thing would have cooked otherwise.

        • Yes well from your comment I think you are more serious computer user.

          As casual computer user using 10 year old Acer desktop tower,
          it runs silent and has tiny gaps in the front sides.
          I opened it recently to upgrade from HDD to SSD and there was barely any dust inside.
          I guess if you are gaming or more serious user every 1% temperature matters. But maybe some are ok with RGB or bad cases as long as their computer works.
          (I guess appearance matters more in consumer product, hard to find a real good product these days anyway)

          • @thebadmachine: Yes. The issue isn't how serious a computer user I am. It is a question of cooling the hardware in the case. This case had an i7-9400F and a 2080 Super in it. There's not much point in having those components then setting your graphics to low or medium. Air cooling is fine for those components with a good cooler for the CPU, but you need airflow or it doesn't work.

            if you want a small media or office machine, sure perspex front is fine for cooling. But then do you need a perspex front and RGB fans? So these cases with perspex front and RGB fans aren't suitable for gaming unless you're on a low end rig, and they're not needed for office either. I think they're a major fail in design.

            Btw it's not hard to open up your case and blow or vacuum the dust out of it. Just don't use a high powered vac and put it right near delicate parts. A cheap hair dry on cool will do the trick nicely. Oh and be careful with canned air because the condensation can be spat out into your case. If you opened it up to look it shouldn't be too hard to deal with a little dust if you have to.

        Never heard of anyone suggest they'd generate enough heat to make a difference.

        Got 10 Corsair QL fans in a 011 XL and there's definitely no heat concerns.

        RGBs use such a tiny amount of power.

        Small cheap LED Strip may not be the same thing.

        • Yes but just from personal experience with LED strip, it produce more heat than you would think.

          • @thebadmachine: RGB SSDs have been known to cause issues (such a stupid thing to do IMO), I have never come across anything of any quality that will cause concerns.

              Just to be clear I just bought a single color USB LED strip to but behind the monitor, I have little computer experience.

              In reply to another comment above, mentioned it depends on user, some will need that every 1% lower temperature, some may just be happy their computer works and looks cool at the same time.

                @thebadmachine: I have 4 long Corsair Strips on my desk, I definitely can't feel them, and they are highly regarded as some of the better/brighter RGB brands. Likewise lighting towers, nothing to worry about.

                Yumcha old tubes and the like, yeah sure, but something using soooooo little power can't generate enough heat to make any difference. Let alone effect performance.

                  Original comment made at top was just trying to say: if you are looking for best cooling (1% improvement etc), maybe avoid RGB as well as bad case design that’s all.
