I'm running a ML240L, build quality is great.

Just got the 240 temporarily for my 5900x. Keeps it under 60c while gaming. Pretty good for the money.

    • Can you hear the pump at all? That always seems to be a weak point with cheapo watercoolers

      • on occasion mine will make a grumble for a few seconds when booting the pc. other than that, the 240L I have is quiet

  • Do you guys recommend this to pair with my ryzen 3600. Does it sync with MSI Mystic light mobo software?

  • I know most people usually get a 240, but how good is are 120s, and THIS 120? Will it be enough to handle a 3600/X OC?

Buying a 120mm aio is a waste of money mate

    • usually 120mm air coolers are better for the same money and quieter.

You'll only buy 120mm and 140mm aio if you have space constraints in your case like itx buuld for example

reviews say it's not bad. Usually I'm a little skeptical of coolers that get reduced to a very low price, as that points to it having a high return rate.

    • This was always their budget range, I wouldn't call it a crazy discount.

    • Cooler Master have a decent track record. They usually are a good middle of the line option. Not amazing, but not terrible either. Bit noisy, but it will do the job.

much improved over v1 of this (saw a lot of the v1 have pump issues, noise related), can vouch for it. my pump is inaudible over case fans and gpu fans. using it in an inwin a1 itx case, paired with a ryzen 3600, no overclock applied but it would handle a small overclock going by its current performance.

keep it mind, it is an entry level AIO. you will get comparable (if not better) performance from a decent mid range air cooler and a high end air cooler will easily beat this.

generally speaking, only required use case for 120mm AIO would be a small case (e.g. itx build) where size is an issue OR if you really just want AIO for the sake of it/looks.
good cpu cooler fans will be silent, so noise is never an argument to go with AIOs, if your air cooler is loud just get better quality fans.

air cooler all the way, plus air cooler will last forever. if the fan dies, you simply replace it and your own your way again.

if you were gonna use this, i would also not throw it on anything more than a 6 core. if you have a high core count cpu, treat it with the right respect and get something above the entry level (whether it be fan or AIO cooling) - this is more important for ryzen obviously, as we all know how boost speeds are impacted by thermal performance.

  • I was going to install a tower cooler on my new system but decided to give the ml240l v2 a try and could not be happier.
    The pump is exceptionally quiet.
The one issue I kept reading regarding this cooler was the fans are not the best. I installed a set of Arctic p12's and there is nearly no noise from the radiator/fans at all even under full stress test (temp of 61 max). If this performance scales I would personally say the 120 would be a great little cooler (just change the fans).
