  • Any good for drone?

    • +3

Should be fine, though it is more designed for dashcams and surveillance equipment. I'd personally prefer the SanDisk Extreme for use with drones for faster file transfers off the card.

      • Thanks for the info

  • wow, they getting so competitive now. Great price.

  • Thanks, been waiting for a deal on these

  • With so many SanDisk cards failed I am moving to Samsung cards.

    • +1

None of the Samsung SD cards in my dash cam ever failed (EVO Plus). SanDisk on the other hand, have failed me twice losing important video footage in the process.

      • 2x128gb Samsung Evo plus died in my viofo but this has lasted longer than both so far. Were you using these high endurance sandisk or their other ones?

        • I was using SanDisk Ultra 64Gb. While I do understand that neither SanDisk Ultra nor Samsung EVO+ are designed for Dashcam use, Samsung flash storage durability is far greater than SanDisk's at roughly the same price point.

          The issue has been documented.

          • @vrsac: Your source talks about how sandisk isn't inferior, you should just make sure you're using the high endurance cards, unless I missed something.

    • Even this - high endurance model?
Which Samsung card would you suggest for Viofo dashcamand Reolink indoor security cam?

    • +1

I've been using (6) SanDisk Endurance 64GB cards in 4 Viofo A119 dash cams for 2+ years and none have failed or had any issues. Similarly no problems with other SanDisks cards (SD, compact flash, micro SD) in a multitude of cameras from Canon 5D Mk IIIs through to Sonys. Like HDD failures, some appear to be unluckier than others with particular brands.

I also ensure I buy from less risky sources to reduce the likelihood of counterfeit cards.

  • bought one thanks mate

  • It's still in stock but the price is going up. I saw it at $28 when I clicked on the link. I went to office works to price match and they did it.

    • Price showing as $31.94 for me now.
