    Was $129 last night……

    My system is inaudible from 1m away, with open case, at 3AM, with this drive in it, plus two others, an old WD 3TB WD red, and Samsung 2tb HD204UI :)
    My Corsair HX1200's fan never comes on, and the MSi RTX 3070 trio is also fanless at idle, and only 24db at full load

    pretty much normal for any drive, or SSD, once formatted it will always be a be lower

    I think that'd be reported in TiB which is slightly larger than a TB. See the table here.
