    • Added to the OP cheers

    • +1

awesome you can use both and score $20! and potentially if the other papers are doing it even more

    • +10

Also try "453" to get an extra $10. $30 now ;)

  • thanks mate, good find :)

interesting it is only valid til tomorrow though

    • Does that mean you've only got until tomorrow to "spend" the $30, or do you just have to register the codes by then?

      • Last promo you had to spend them before the deadline or they evaporated. Prolly the same here.

        • +1

On my account it does say that the credit expires within 24 hours, so get spending people!

  • 450, 451 - 'This voucher is linked to the New Zealand site. Please switch to the New Zealand site and enter the code again to redeem.'

If anyone has an NZ account. Dont know the vouch amount tho :/

    • +9

lol in true ozbargain fashion, trying (452 +/- 10)-bandit

  • Hey how do u enter the voucher code as there is only 2 boxes?

    • put 454 in first box, and bandit in second.

    • beat me to it :/

  • Very nice.

  • Fantastic. Thanks

  • fantastic deal, thanks OP and others who provided codes.

DRM free mp3 downloads as well: all my xmas pressies sorted.

  • Dam iPad, needs flash to view so will have to do it when I get home.

    • +1

Also their site didn't work on Chrome last time I tried, maybe it's better now. But in general I hate their Flash rich site, but I'm willing to put up with it for long enough to get my loot. :)

    • -1

      works great on a $99 Touchpad :p

  • thanks

  • wondering can you download as flac format?

    • It's all MP3.

      • +3

        Arhh…hope it's 320kbps

        edit: it's 320kbps!

    11/12/2011 Voucher Sunday Times Perth '11 $10.00
11/12/2011 Voucher The Sunday Mail Adelaide '11 $10.00

who have other papers @other states?

    • The Sunday Telegraph would be the NSW equivalent

  • Thanks all. Glad I'll be able to find some free music for my long flight overseas.

  • Thank you very much, just got "The best of 25 years - Sting" - bit pricey at $23. But since it is free credit, worth it :-D

  • For some reason the site refers me to their NZ version when I try 450-BANDIT or 455-BANDIT, but the NZ site doesn't accept these codes. Suggests to me that these two codes may go live on their NZ site at some point.

    Good deal here, thanks:).

  • These codes look the same as last years.

Also note that the expiry of the credit once redeemed is only valid for a short time, till the end of the day.

    • Yes, snooze and you'll lose on these deals. From past experience the credit will expire very quickly. I'd make purchases today even if you don't make the download today.

    • here are some albums if you don't know what to get…
So Fresh: Songs for Christmas 2011 $25.98
All I Want For Christmas $17
So Fresh: The Hits Of Spring 2011 $17
Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (Deluxe Ver) $19.99

      • +6

        For gag gifts, right? ;)

        I got:
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!

Had to Paypal an extra 50c, though. Damn they are expensive. The same albums on iTunes were only $22.98 vs $30.50 for Bandit.FM.

Also noticed that it's almost a year to the day when they had their last coupon give-away.

        • +2

ahahah I got dig lazarus dig and The Boatman's Call (remastered)
last year I got Grinderman and Grinderman 2

all hail Nick Cave, our supreme master and overlord :P

      • It does put you on the spot a bit, having to come up with $30 worth of music you want on the day.

I went for Regurgitator's SuperHappyFunTimes and some old Fatboy Slim's.

        • +2

I find these deals are most handy for getting Aussie music, as it can be hard to acquire by other 'methods'.

        • +2

Picked up the Boy & Bear album 'Moonfire' for $13. I must admit I do find the collection very limited. I probably wouldn't use it, if it weren't for the free credit.

      • -3

I had you all wrong, I thought with the name "Power" in your nick and the Port Adelaide AFL logo, you'd be some kind of tough bloke who listened to the Foo Fighters, Metalicca etc. Your music taste is horrid.

I'm trying to be as diplomatic as possible.

  • +2

Whenever I try downloading larger albums, the downloads timeout after a few minutes. So frustrating…

    • +1

      Maybe Bandit's been Ozbargained?

    • +2

      Yes, its being ozbargained.

Ok, beaten to it, it does seem to have slowed down a lot, compared to when first downloading. Now its slow and error messages appear.

    • +1

i installed the download manager (uses adobe air) and downloaded them. It ends up going track by track and is sloooooooow. now its done, uninstall the download manager :)

      • There are quite a few download managers for adobe air. which one are you using? thanks

      • +1

Thanks for the link. It's not working as of now but the items are on my account so I'll wait until late tonight to download them (when the site is less congested).

    • I'm seeing the same thing. Download aborts after a couple of minutes with a corrupted zip file.

If I used BitTorrent, I'd have it by now.

      • +2

Sharing your sentiments exactly. Very disappointing from Sony. Crappy speeds (100-200kB/s), incomplete downloads.

No wonder alternate sources (read: iTunes) are so much more popular.

  • +2

From previous experience all you have to do is spend the credit you can go back in a few days when the OzB's have left and download it then :) I got the Slash album and Papa Vs Pretty had to kick in a few dollars but didn't mind. I haven't been on bandit for a long while, prices seem to have gone up since I used them last. They also have removed the on sale section that used to be within each channel :(

  • Great deal! Got the Queen Platinum Collection for 2 bucks ($32 without vouchers). But downloading at a terrible 40 kB/s.

  • +1

Love it… thanks heaps for the post

  • Terrible speeds (Sub 100 KB/s + downloads failing) can't really complain though since it is free. Hopefully you will be able to download your purchases after the deal expires.

    • yeah speed is slow now
using IDM and only manage 20-35KB/s

  • Bought the Gotye album, have $13 left.
Any suggestions? $30 is such an odd amount of credit to haev especially on Bandit :(

    • +1

I bought Seeker Lover Keeper, mainly because of Sarah Blasko :p, if you like her stuff you'll probably like S.L.K

    • 3 x single albums @4.49/each

  • Nice. Thanks.

    • +1

It says that when you personally have already redeemed the code.
      EDIT:
      dat edit :3

    • +1

      maybe you entered it twice?

      • Yeah I did, wasn't paying attention.

  • +1

For the people that still have coke unleashed tokens you can get $2.50 credit to bandit fm for only 36 tokens.

    http://www.cokeunleashed.com.au/ItemDetail?itemId=12464&wher…

    • $10 credit is 142 tokens… 2 tokens cheaper than 4x $2.50 credit :)

      • $10 credit is sold out. ;)

  • Wow, thanks OP. Notified friends.

  • Nice

Thanks OP for posting it up!

  • Thanks but I can confirm that the $30 credit will expire tommorrow :( time to download what you want now :)

  • Internal server error while starting my download. We truly are bandits.

  • Thanks for posting.
Credit came up fine. Just very very very very slow to download anything from them - not a great ad for their service if it's like this all the time!

    • I regularly use Bandit and I can say that it is abnormally slow today (for obvious reasons)

      • +2

        I regularly use Bandit

        Why? I'm curious.

        • I hate Apple (iTunes) and I hate Telstra (Bigpond).

I pay for Australian music in general and I used to like their subscription service, until it was cancelled.

  • I have no idea what to purchase.

    • Had the same issue… but since it was free, i decided it didn't really matter.

  • +1

    Cheers OP. Downloaded some videos.
I guess it'll be the same quality as ripping youtube.

    • nothing beats ripping 1080p music vids from youtube! :D
i've found they're better quality than itunes sometimes.

  • +1

well this kept me busy for an hour deciding what to get…

    • +3

And another 16 hours to download it.

      • sadly, yes

        • do the codes expire at midnight tonight?

how come the original post says "Voucher exp. 11:59PM 13/12/11"?
or is that the coupon code itself? and you have to use up the coupon by midnight the same day you redeemed some of it/once it's in your account?

  • Gold, another free lot of music. Thanks :)

  • Kind of lame of Bandit, they dont even have Muse!!!! =.=
I dont know what to do with the $20 left :|

    • …Considering the site is owned my Sony and Muse is signed with Warner…

    • +1

They've got Coldplay, U2, and TheFray. I'm happy ;) Muse would be nice though.

Btw, does anyone get what all the channels are about? U2 is under "sixstring", Coldplay is "thebollocks", The Fray is "feeler"….. the only artist i've looked up that I can understand being in a particular channel is Owl City with "synthmode"..

    • Wierd, as they used to have Muse… I remember getting some tracks in a previous code giveaway. They must have renegotiated with certain labels at some stage.

  • +2

I think we overloaded the site. Downloads keep dropping out!

  • +1

    Boy & Bear - MoonFire $13
    Kasabian - Velociraptor $17

Yay! Two free albums - just need the downloads to work now!

  • +1

    T-Pain - rEVOLVEr $17
    Taio Cruz - TY.O (International Version) $13

Ill hold off downloading for a couple of days.

    • +1

      I got something similar

      LMFAO $17
      Taio Cruz $13

      = $30

  • -6

I'm probably going to get trolled for asking this, but is this illegal sharing free music codes that you were supposed to receive in a promotion?

    • +1

      who knows, who cares?

      • :P also I looked through the Queensland Sunday Mail and could not find the voucher

    • +5

Considering it is advertised on the front of the highest selling paper in Victoria… I'd probably say no.

  • thanks

  • removed

  • 3 hours and only 16.3 Mb downloaded. Maybe even stopped!!!

    • This is my third attempt to download, using Free Download manager this time, 155mb 1 1/2 hours :)
