  • Same set at myer is $349 (reduced from $999) - https://www.myer.com.au/p/anolon-advanced-8-piece-cokware-se…

So could be a good deal…

Miss me with that inflated RRP.

I mean, look at the price history from Myer.

I've had Anolon stuff for years, an older version of this set. Had to get rid of a couple of frying pans and a saucepan because they don't seem to handle the heat well and quickly go from non-stick to very stick. I've used them in the oven a couple of times and their rubber handles crack and hold moisture. The ones that I still have are a bit worse for wear too, wouldn't recommend.

I second this opinion, I had this set for 2 yrs and the frying pans got damaged within 6 months (went dark, sticky, and non stick coating started to come off). From personal experience, I would also not recommend this set.

    • They’re supposed to have a ‘lifetime guarantee’. Have you tried claiming warranty on them?

I tried, and when Myer sent it back to Anolon, Anolon said I constantly used super high heat to cook, and that's why the non stick perished.. Which I didn't, but obviously couldn't prove…

        • Isn't cookware for high heats? I'm not gonna cook my eggs on paper.

          • @spirrowhack: not for any of the non-stick ones. if you read the maintenance instructions for all of them, they always have a catch all to refrain from using excessive heat or heating the pan empty. even the whatever stone/diamond/fairy dust coated ones. i have gone through so many different brands and non-stick cookware in the past decade that it wasn't funny.

i reckon that I could've been better off investing in a series of well-seasoned cast iron cookware. (Drawback is the weight that no one else in my family wants to deal with)

if you want to use high heat, at least go for a carbon steel cookware, but it won't be 'non-stick' like those.

            • @slowmo: Same warning on the stainless pans too.. excessive heating and cooling.

              • @Supercool: the excessive heating and immediately cooling bit i can understand as it will crack things like claypots /cast irons.

I've never had that happen to my stainless ones, although i suffer a different problem with them - dishwasher inflicted. - that i accept it's my own doing.

non-stick ones, are very sensitive to heat (hah!), i remembered once i bought a cheap non-stick wok from ikea and on first use, the non-stick literally burn off with what's left of the oil i left in there. mind, its just an european cooktop, not a commerical or portable burner where things are measured and advertised in BTU.

it's the same with the other non-stick, regardless of tech, you just can't let that sort of cookware get too hot. the approach is different compared to say stainless or cast iron. I am very happy to be corrected and proven wrong because i am done throwing thousands just into cookware over all these years.

    • Thanks for saving myself 😊

RRP is way off, it's actually 29.7 Bitcoin, or $1,354,000

RRP is a joke. Suggesting that should be the price is enough to put me off.

This stuff is junk. Avoid at all costs. This tit-bit should alert you straight away: "* Hand wash recommended." wha…?

204c recommended. This is just a dead set give away when they say this: " * Energy friendly - low to medium heat required only." Which just means that you should never try to cook anything with these on a high heat as the non stick will simply disappear and you and your family will have eaten most of it as it comes off.

We bought a set of these some years back from Pof K and though they were helpful and considerate to a degree they just fell back on the excuse of: 'You must of cooked at too higher heat on these. It's only recommended to cook on low heat to medium."

They're long gone into the recycling. Rubbish product.

A good product? Estelle. They make quality that last a very very long time.

  • I have Endurance+ stuff lasted ages non stick great. Got a couple smaller pans great price. Thanks Rep
