Mobile Phone Selection Help

Hi Everyone,
My Samsung S9 has recently started to play up and is approaching its end of life (charging port doesnt work, Battery absoultely horrible etc.) |
And im looking for a new phone

My budget is about $1000,

Requirements:
At least 128Gb of storage (or has micro SD slot)
IP rated
Ultrawide camera
Android Based (can't stand apple sorry)

What i'd also like but not essential:
Warranty
Wireless Charging
Headphone jack (Not very popular anymore, i know)

I've been looking at the Samsung S20FE or the Mi 10T Pro as they're at the same price point, but i was wondering if anyone knows any alternatives?
would it be worth to extend the budget to include the Samsung Note 20 Ultra SD?, or the OPPO Find X2 Pro?

Thanks
Morgan

I just bought today the Oppo Reno4 Z 5G today on Amazon for 449.

Its to replace my Galaxy S8+ which is still kind of okay except for a cracked screen and the Bluetooth connection drops out every now and then. If you're not hung up on major specs it could be worth checking out.

I'm eeking out the most of my s9+ for now. Battery replacement is $99 and maybe consider going to a wireless charger?

Phones haven't really progressed much since the s9+, maybe slight increases in design and camera but nothing that the s9+ can't do. If anything i believe the phones have reduced resolution in some cases (although have 100hz and 5g that i'm still questioning the need for.

Maybe hang on until the s21 comes out next month?

Pixel 4a 5g, $644. Within your budget and phone should or expect to last atleast 2 years.

Use that saved money to upgrade later.

    • No wireless charging though?

    • No wireless charging, no ip rating.

  • Morning Guys,

My S9 today started playing up (2 years old), the bottom of the screen flickers when you press the power button - I had look online and tried a few things but can't seem to fix it.

I'm in the market for a new phone now - FML!!

Any suggestions? After something that offers value for money.

    Regards,
