Shield TV Pro Not Detecting Wi-Fi

Just bought Shield TV Pro yesterday and tried to set it up but it won't detect my Wi-Fi.

Tried everything like making sure my router doesn’t have he ipv6 em Enabled, restarting router and turning it off for 10 mins and turning back on again.

My router is Asus DSL ac68u is currently transmitting 2.4g and 5g simultaneously

  • Connect it with Ethernet maybe, then complete the set up. Or WPS setup. Check at your router end if unknown devices are blocked, or media sharing is enabled on windows share. It would be a matter of trying different things. Maybe list what you have already tried. So, we don’t suggest what you have already tried.

    • Tv is not close enough to rewch with an ethernet cable.
Ive tried hotspotting on my phone and that didnt come up either.
Thats really all ive tried besides what ive mentioned already

    1. Can you factory reset the Shield? or can you not get that far because you're stuck in the setup wizard?
    2. Can you temporarily move the TV next to the modem to connect an Ethernet cable? (or a smaller display eg. HDMI monitor. Don't worry about audio at this stage, you just need a display). If so, try that, check for a system update & if available, download, apply, and then either check for WiFi networks again or do a a factory reset & try the setup wizard again.
