  I don't understand how are you supposed to use these things more than once?

  so you pack up your picnic (choosing food that has to be eaten with cutlery and served on a plate for some reason)
  hike somewhere
  eat it

  then what? where do you keep dishwashing detergent and enough water to wash all this stuff?

  do you load all the dirty cutlery and plates back into it?
  then you throw it away?
  you hose it out with the garden hose?
  put it in the washing machine?

  or if you are going somewhere with a sink and water and detergent - why do you need this in the first place?
