  • lol. the thunder. cheers, had no idea they started already. does anyone know when ONEHD coverage starts?

  • seeing all the top notch teams getting mixed up so much and losing their team chemistry, the thunder really do have a chance this year.

boo for no xmas day games tho =(

    • +5

No we get free xmas day games. USA Chirstmas Day = Australian Boxing Day. Look on the actual website and it says 25th- Jan 9th. OP has just done this because its our actual local time.

      • oh ic ic

  • +2

it's the least they could do for the lockout bullshit

  • +2

    I heard OneHD weren't showing games.. :\

    • +3

Yep, you won the competition. The only correct statement is that the NBA Lockout is over!
Lachlan Murdoch has killed off the NBA in Aus ruining the following it gained from casual fans watching on FTA last season, and Stern is doing all he can to kill the NBA altogether.

The only thing we can hope for is that Gilbert Arenas owes Stern and Murdoch money and they come asking for it…that could end well!

      • lol, yeap. Big dissapointment in ONE HD.

        • SERIOUS NO NBA ON ONE!?!?!?

          HULK SAAAAAADDDDDDD

Seriously though that seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot because as much as I like NFL i just can't watch more than a half of it. And their soccer offering is fairly poor with only Serie A and Bundesliga.

Most people I know only watched One for the NBA.

  • +4

Wow great post! Now I can watch the bulls and lakers go head2head on boxing day.
..and screw you David Stern. You single-handedly killed the Hornets future. And CP3 to kobe assists!!
    Damn you Stern!!

    • -1

      so lets compare.
stern thought that the lakers giving up an all star and a sixth man of the year for an other all star was unfair. But he allows the lakers trade the 6th man of the year + a 2nd round pick for a late 1st round pick?? mark cuban must have really pleasured stern in some way~

      • As much as I hated the thought of losing both gasol AND odom, lakers really need a swift kick up the no-no to get reinvigorated. Good PGs just abuse them to hell. Fisher and Walton - pls retire already!

        • Highly unlikely. Lakers have no team chemistry atm. D12 might be staying with magic. and cp3 is most likely gojng to the clippers. I say its gonna be a heat vs thunder final.

      • +4

The way you make it sound it doesnt make sense, but it actually does. The Odom/Gasol/Paul trade was a 3 team trade involving Houston as well. It was a very good trade for all teams involved, especially the Hornets, however they are owned by the NBA, who are looking for someone to buy the team. Their reasoning to reject the trade is that making the trade would decrease the value of the team (losing a marquee player like Chris Paul for 3 mid-tier players in Odom, K Martin and Scola), which it would. And the Mavericks trade, Stern had no say at all in that, both the Lakers abd Mavericks have owners of their own. And although the Mavericks were stoked with that trade, so were the Lakers (freed up an enormous amount of their salary cap. Hello Dwight!)

        • +1

Lakers can still get DH, but the NBA should not have owned the Hornets in the first place.

  • +3

Thanks for the post. And I'm glad CP3 didn't go to Lakers. Definitely a fan of Kobe's skill and ability but really not a Lakers fan at all.

and for those that do decide to continue watching through the rest of the season here is a 15% off coupon that can be used by everyone

    RETSUB2011

brings down the price for regular + finals games to ~ $186 USD

im hoping to see a Dallas back to back championship this year!

    • -2

No chandler =no chance. no barea no hutler. but at least you have odom

      • Puuuhhlease. If you watched the Mavs all season, you would have seen that Chandler got annihilated by more dominant centers all year (Howard, Bynum, Nene, Horford, both Gasols, Bogut etc). Cuban did the right thing. No need to pay a glorified role player ~15 mil over 4 years.

Barea is another player that was a product of the Dwane Casey zone defense. Most Mav fans were calling for his head halfway into the season before he started to show glimpses… but like Terry, he's just another streaky shooter that doesn't offer much else.

    • Cheers for that nhutty!
Can I ask how you got that code? I got the email from them with code INTLUSER2011 for 10% off! Lucky I hadn't bought yet and read your post first!

      • Hi unco, i got the code from whirlpool. I also only received a 10% off coupon "EMAILCOL2011"

  • +9

I just found out that One HD have dropped NBA. I HATE YOU MURDOCH.

    • +9

Too busy showing homoerotic shows about men cutting down trees?

    • Can't miss "Cops"…

      • +8

This Saturday on One HD, direct from Chicago, a matchup of gigantic proportions. With plenty on the line, we see two desperate sides battle it out, in high definition, only on One HD.

That's right, this Saturday, some crack-head tries to escape from some low ranking police officer.

        Live and exclusive on One!

Yeah, that's going to draw much bigger ratings Murdoch!

Someone needs to tell them the Australian dollar is worth more than US.

    • if your talking about the AU$ price mentioned for league pass, it does say it's an estimate and that the final price is charged in US$, so you'll get it cheaper anyways :)

  • +1

+vote just for the hilarious line about David Stern.

  • when does that code expires anyone know?

  • is it the same thing like game time iphone apps?

    • yes. this subscription actually includes watching games on the game time app, unlike previous years where you had to pay extra on top of your subscription.

  • +1

Holy crap they're charging much more for this lockout shortened season than last years regular/postseason packages.

It was a great service last season but on principle alone I'll settle for the free feeds this time.

    • What free feeds…. Murdock has axed HD NBA on One :(.

      • +2

I meant free online streams, made available by the kind people who don't care much for copyright laws. ;)

On RealGM, there are people reporting prices based on country location. Australia is doing well economically thus $220 for the package. Hungary only pays $140 for the same thing.

        • ahhh…. cool. thanks for heads up ;).

        • I meant free online streams, made available by the kind people who don't care much for copyright laws. ;)

Yeah pretty sure my mate Justin will be streaming. :p

  • Thanks for this. Has anyone played it on their tv and if so how was it? I am thinking of playing it through my ps3.

    • Yeah, the last free trial I hated this. Want to know if people find it to be worthwhile?

I want to be able to watch a game with out knowing the results and being able to fastfoward it. (Oh hi torrenting which works compared to paying for a system that dosn't.)

  • Hi windsurfer-sp,

Can you please tell me which torrent site has all the NBA games?

    • Sharing files without permission from the copyright owners is illegal!

      However googling "Davka" isn't ;)

  • Thanks OP! After getting depressed over the OneHD news, this will cover me for my Christmas and New year break when I actually have time to watch NBA all day!
Beer + NBA + No work = Happy Me :D

  • Awesome! Hopefully this will allow me to view through the Apple TV :)

    • I thought the NBA League Pass app doesn't work on Apple TV internationally?

      • It doesn't ;-) But I have a US iTunes account so that I can view Netflix, NBA & NHL :)

        • I can get access to a us itunes account and have apple tv. What are the steps to be able to view NBA mate?

  • +1

so devo OneHD wont be showing the NBA

go mavs!!! back to back titles! yeah
    dirk nowitzki <3

    • Fudge yeah, another Mavs fan! We're so lucky to have the best owner in sports :)

      • Everyone knows there's is no sports franchise owner better than Dan Gilbert of the Cavaliers ;)

  • Can you watch games from past seasons, or only games from this season? It mentions "archived" games.

    • From my experience last season, the achieved games are just games from the previous few days.

      • This free trial will allow you to watch games that are within a 24 hour window. So no, you cannot watch old season games.

        • Well that kinda sux, but thanks for the replies.

  • CEEEPEEE3EEE…..Lob City Baby!

    • +1

Wonder if Stern will give himself the executive/GM of the year award! ha

  • +1

    Thank you windsurfer-sp. It's a great site. ;)

    • +1

I've also heard wiziwig.tv is a great site to find copyright free live streams and downloads. Some despicable human beings may also upload full hd games within minutes of them finishing and broadcast quality live streams, but just avoid those and you should be fine.

  • Is anyone else unable to watch ANY past games??

  • Anyone else loving the Clippers even more after their epic trades? Also looking forward to watching John Wall tear it up this season :D

    • I am, they look great. Their fans deserve it too.

BTW, can you guys imagine if they didn't foolishly trade away Kyrie Irving via that Mo Williams/Baron Davis trade? The roster could have been Paul, Gordon, Butler, Griffin, Jordan. Crazy….
