[SUBS, Prime] 67 Free Regular Season NBA Games @ Prime Video

2180

Surprised it hasn't been posted yet. Not as good as NBA League Pass obviously but I imagine a lot of people already have a Prime membership. Just another extra bonus for having Amazon Prime.

Prime Video is bringing NBA fans exclusive live games this season, delivering high-stakes matchups and exciting storylines straight to your streaming device. From early-season showdowns to key conference clashes, don’t miss the action on Prime.

Note: As auditek has stated, all of these times are US ET (Eastern Time), so you'll have to convert the time to your timezone. I'm sure if you've watched NBA before, you'll already know. If you haven't you'll get used to it pretty quickly.

Edit: It seems as though the quality can be different on a tablet vs PC. Watching on my PC gave me video quality options and audio (commentary) options. I can choose from Spanish, French and Portuguses for the first game. Maybe if you are having some issues with quality, try on PC via your browser.

    Thanks OP. That's awesome news.

    67?

      6-7

      • +8

        SIX SEVENNNNN 🫱🫲

      • I came here for this and you did not disappoint. Now… wtf does it actually mean? Haha

    • A couple short?

      • +1

No, it's brainrot used by teens and preteens based on a rap song, and then a basketballer who was 6'7" tall. To them it means nothing, but is actually a police radio call to report a death, which fits in with the song lyrics. Most teachers have banned it being said in their classroom. Like all things, it has almost had its day and will be replaced by something else soon.

        • +6

“Banned it from their classroom” hahaha. 99% of teachers have no idea what it even means (despite it meaning nothing). As a high school teacher myself, I can tell you now that it is certainly not banned. Couldn’t care less if kids say it. They’ll move onto the next piece of brainrot soon enough

          • +1

@SirFrankGrimes: It's banned in alot of classrooms I work in

          • +4

            @SirFrankGrimes:

99% of teachers have no idea what it even means

Sorry Sir Frank, I don't believe that's representative of teachers at all. While you may not try to keep up with the lingo, and that's fine, many teachers do put in the effort to do so regardless of whether its nonsensical or creative.

            • @Nillionaire: I never said I was part of the 99%. And I also cannot understand why schools would ban such a phrase? Does that go for all other Gen Z / Alpha lingo? Australian schools have bigger issues to focus on

        • +2

          Isn't that code a 187?

        • You typed all this fyi

      sweats nervously

FYI dates/times are the U.S times. Essentially games are on Saturday ~10am & 1pm AEDT.

    That's a good bet

Good tip is linking your nba league pass to prime account ive heard the quality is better on prime !

    • Side by side it looks like the same stream. It's been a long week but I'm buggered if I can see a difference. /shrug

      • +2

My nba app is horrible it pixelate every 30 seconds atm i cant currently sync it until the 30th when it renews but ive seen others post it that its better

    • +1

This is awesome nba app runs horrible on my Sony tv. Hopefully runs better through prime.

    • Interesting, might give it a crack. But I figure you won't get the live box score.

    • +1

NBA app on iOS is flawless but on my android tablet its rubbish

    • I had trouble doing this yesterday, sayscon the NBA app im linked but nothing on Amazon video. Did you do anything outside going to https://www.nba.com/id/amazon ?

      Amazon support couldn't help

      • Yeh this is the error i have currently

        Your Accounts Are Not Linked

We were unable to link your subscriptions because you do not have a League Pass subscription.

Even though its active and renews in a week

        • Im getting "your accounts were not linked, your accounts are already linked"

Check amazon and theres nothing doing there, nba app says they're linked but cant watch anytning.

    • Honestly would pay for league pass if they had like 4k streams

  • +2

Anyone know if these are the same as the games on Kayo (ESPN) or different?

    • +5

They're different games to ESPN on Kayo or Disney+

  • +1

Why is this city names instead of team names? Los Angeles has two teams

    • +2

I think Los Angeles is Lakers, while LA refers to the Clippers.

  • sbs used to have free to air games, miss those days

    • wasnt that like 1 season 10 years ago

    • +1

I remember as a kid getting one game a week on a Saturday (or Sunday?) morning, was the only way to watch. Man I would have loved to watch all those games in the early 90s…

      • +1

One game and the half hour "NBA Action" which was amazing.

    • 10 did as well for a while

  • Seen this on the USA amazon thought it was strictly with them. This is nice, thanks

    • I got an email about it and had to look into it. I'm a bit out of the loop really, but there seem to be a lot of pretty decent match ups.

  • +2

I don’t condone it but you can live stream all games for free if you have a Sportsbet account.

  • Can you watch them once they've occurred? Or only live?

    • Not sure. I guess we'll know more tomorrow.

    • +1

Replays available, also a 7 day free trial for league pass sub in Prime to watch any game.

      • I believe you need to have league pass to replay after the free trial

        • Yes probably same as NFL

    • I just tried to watch the replay of the first game and was able to. Don't know how long it'll be available but I imagine if I can now you should be able to later.

Just noticed there are different audio streams. That's kinda cool.

Edit: Hmm, must be a regional thing. I can't seem to change the language.

Edit 2: I can select the audio on my PC. Watching in Spanish is pretty cool. The commentators have got ENERGY.

  • Cheers. Wish I had more reason to get back into NBA

  • Thunder Up! ⚡

Amazon Prime is easily the best subscription service out there!

    • I agree, it started super lame but now it’s awesome. Stan has gone to absolute crud.

    • Nah a good iptv is

  • OP do you know know what the deal with ESPN and Disney Plus is? I thought that service was suppose to be streaming live NBA games but it is only putting up replays?

    • There has been live games on Disney + the last 3 days

      • How to access? When i go in there none of the live stuff was popping up is it a settings issue?

        • I have Disney via Turkey and I don't get the sport either. Pretty sure its an AU Disney thing.

  • +2

Quality looks pretty ordinary even compared to my IPTV sub

    • +1

      Looks good to these eyes

    • -1

Free is free. I didn't get Amazon prime for NBA

    • +1

I found it didn't look that great on one of our tablets but it looks OK on my PC. I can select the quality on my PC and it looked better.

  • +1

Honestly have been a long term LP subscriber (through various means and not Aus retail price) and thought it was a waste as I only watch probably 20% of the live games and never sat through an entire replay anyway (bar some exceptional individual games or playoff/finals) so this is a very good alternative.

And heck once we get deals for the playoff this would be a good combo of regular season + playoff NBA basketball.
