I don't think anybody has put this one up recently.
They're still on pre-sale. I've been informed that they will likely not ship until late February but if you can wait until then, this is an absolutely ripper deal.

I have the colour and warm white installed in my house, and can say that the cool white would be most welcome. The colour modes are sometimes a bit dim but at $7.50 a bulb this is extremely cheap for an LED with at least a full range of colour. Would be perfect in auxiliary lamps, perhaps not as the sole hanging light source of a room.

    Kogan pre-sales are the worst - never meet deadlines, no apologies, just keep the customer hanging….

  • Don't trust anything Kogan says.
    I ordered at the start of December, then delivery was delayed by a few days. Support said it would arrive soon. Now without apology order also delayed to end of February …

    Unless you're happy with approximate shipping of late February … 2022..

    • I already sent 5 emails, no compensation.

    • Thanks - I explicitly asked for compensation now and was told I would get $10 account credit - not sure what to spend it on though (credit is however not visible yet in account or checkout process of random item).

        You should get it. Worked for me on Lego I paid for back in October that was meant to be delivered two weeks ago but now pushed out to who knows when. The customer service agent gave me $10 after I complained and then a system generated notification advising of a further delay also gave me another $10.

        • And 2 days later, surprise surprise … no credit.
          I'm giving up. Lie after lie.
          Even if they plan to give it only after a week (month/year), then just say so ..

    Is it just me or does Kogan have the worst reputation for not on-time delivery and after-sale support???

    • I haven't gotten the past 3 things i've ordered from Kogan/DSE, they are blacklisted for me now. Not worth the effort.

    • Unfortunately not, just Wifi. But if you are willing to much about with Home Assistant, mixing wifi bulbs with Zigbee switches and sensors is not so bad.

    • Yes. It's a bit trickier with Google home though

    Plug into your light bulb spot and then connect to them and change the light color in the room through wifi?

      That's exactly right. No extra bits required. Some models need a little gateway thing but as technology has improved they build it into the lightbulb base.

      The app is quite easy to use and you can still turn them off at the wall if you want. They remember the last colour/scene you set them to and will go back to purple/white/rainbow etc. If you turn them off and on again at the wall.

    i bought these bulbs early October and still waiting. This suppose to be dispatched on 7th Nov and seems delayed multiple times. No communication from Kogan and when emailed support, they informed it will be dispatched on 8th Jan but on website its showing 8th Feb now. I even forgot about it till I see this post. Pre-sale dates are not reliable. I will cancel my order if they allow.
