yeah in the same situation, not sure how lenient Epic Games would be compared to GOG with vpn buying but since GOG hasn't done anything yet i'm leaning towards buying this.
Can't you just have an alternate account that you only use to buy games from Russia? Maybe the problem would be in the future when having an AUS account with RUS games on it.

No you can’t since I don’t think you can change the account location after making purchase or something like that
they do ban you if you play fortnite via VPN, but not sure about buying games though VPN…

i did try log in with my phone with the VPN on, however, when you try to buy it just converts it to aud, id say you'd need to change your address.
so easiest way is to just use a second account… then something like GOG Galaxy to link all your accounts together? (havent tried to accounts on the same platform as yet)

I bought this yesterday and have had no issues playing it. I used a second Epic account though (originally used for Tony Hawk) just to be safe. Nord doesn't have Russia and whilst using Ukraine VPN via Nord shows the pricing, I couldn't get to the checkout stage as it says that my account is blocked for purchasing (I'm guessing due to Russian address, but Ukraine location). I then just downloaded the Hola extension, connected to Russia and used the web version of the Epic store to checkout, ended up charging $18.06 AUD, and then deleted Hola afterw checkout.
Game was 112GB download, on starting up the game I had to link my Rockstar Social account to Epic.

Thanks OP - got it for $14.35 using Ukraine VPN (PIA doesn't have Russia) + the Coupon.
Any risk of ban? Did the same thing with GOG for CP2077 and no issues
