Choosing a 2k/4k Panel with Size over 27"

So, I got a U2415… Such a lovely monitor but I want to upgrade to 2k. I don't game much, but I enjoy high quality screens. I have a GTX1060 3G, so I'm not really ready to run 4k, but I guess I could assuming I lowered the resolution?

I'm red-green colourblind and so I find planels a little dull - like them to be bright (high candella) with vivid colours (what others say are oversaturated look really good to me aha)

What would be recommended? I am all ears :P

If you like high resolution for productivity it's hard to look past the Xiaomi Mi Curved 34" monitor. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/xiaomi-mi-curved-gaming…

    Max brightness 300 nits.

If you want even brighter (and personally 300nits bright enough and prolonged usage at this setting actually hurt my eyes) the Gigabyte G34WQC can do 350 nits and it's also got 'fake HDR' certification (if that matters to you).

    • Hmm thanks for that! I thought my Dell had 400 nits but i was wrong - is 300, so I guess 300 is the minimum I would like. Thankyou for your suggestions! I'll suss otu the G34WQC

  • Dell S2721DGF is the usual answer to this question that gets asked daily.

    • I apologize aha, thankyou for obliging!

    Hi,

I have 2x u2412's at work. at home I have 2 of these:
    https://www.umart.com.au/ViewSonic-32in-WQHD-IPS-Frameless-M…

Quality of the viewsonics is not as great as the u2412s for desktop use, mostly because of the edges fading out on white backgrounds, but are just as good as the dells for video.

I much prefer them over my 2412s due to the extra size & resolution, but if you want something higher quality, stay away from them :)

    • Thanks morebunnings! I'll suss them out too
