Use the metal trimmer with DualCut technology without a comb to get clean, sharp lines around your beard, neck and hairline, or to trim your body hair to a minimum length. Use the precision shaver after trimming, to perfect the edges of your cheeks, chin and neck. Create fine lines, contours and details with precision, to define or change your style. Remove unwanted nose and ear hair easily and comfortably. 2 stubble combs (1,2 mm), 1 adjustable beard comb (3-7 mm), 3 hair combs (9,12,16 mm) and 1 body comb (3 mm). Get up to 80 minutes of cordless use for every 16-hour charge. Features high-quality rubber handle for superior comfort and control while trimming. • I've been eyeing one of these for a while now. I had a cheap Wahl one (corded) that I bought from a previous deal at shaver shop, but it's horrible. Blades are not sharp and it's just clunky.. Would've expected more from a reputable prabd.

    How are these Philips ones?

    • +1

I bought one of these from the last deal and find it really good. I am coming from Wahl corded one also and find this is a lot sharper and more convenient being cordless.

      • how is it in terms of the noise compared to the wahl corded?

        • A lot quieter

  • +1

can i use it to trim the bush when plugging in?

    • The battery seems to last for quite a few uses and I think it will charge enough for a full trim in a few minutes, so have never needed to try

can i use it to trim the bush

      These are better…

      • thanks, but that'd kill me and my bush

  • +3

I bought this one a while ago: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B071RZXXZ9/ref=ppx_yo_d…

It's great, amazing power and battery charge. Have yoused it on most parts of my body and it's extremely powerful. Had some cheap ones before, but now i'm never going back from this one

    • Thats great! Same product, 7 more attachments and $12 cheaper… nice.

      • does the power adaptor is different? US 2 pins?

        • Yes, it comes with he US adaptor, but you can get a few spare AU plug adaptors for cheap on ebay.

          • +1

@pichxlonco: Or you can do what i do and simply bend the 2 prongs the same angle as the AU plugs.

      • Yes, kind of the same, apparently this bargain is for a MG5730/15, while the one i bought is a MG5750/49. Not sure of the exact differences, i think someone once explained that the battery types are different, so one of the holds more charge and battery will last longer (before dying)

        • Also this one waterproof the newer Li ion not water proof and comes with 18 attachments

    • Anything to add to make the shipping free?

    • yoused it on most parts of my body

You used it on your, um, undercarriage?

      • Yeah, on the top part, never Close to the kiwis

    • Link broken

  • Could I use this to shave? I only need to shave every 3-4 days at most and happy if I have a trim / stubble - doesn't need to be full clean shave.

    • I use a similar model (MG5750/49) to shave/trim and it works perfectly. I trim my beard every couple of days and this works wonders, very short trim, easy to clean.

      • Seconded - I never shave shave anymore - just go over it with the close blade from my Philips and it is fine. As long as you are happy with a very short stubble, you are golden.

        • As long as you are happy with a very short stubble

It's not just about you, your employer needs to be happy with that too…

          • @jv: True that. Although it seems like there are less and less employers these days that demand a clean shave.

  • Do they do a wider one?

  • I have the older 7000 series 16-1 kit, just bear in mind this 11-1 set does not have the anti-nip skin protecting body shaver for downstairs, it has the standard 3mm body comb.

    • Any recommendations? (as long as it is no manscaped).

      • +1

the 7000 series 14-1 and 18-1 (this has extra combs for fades etc) both have the anti-nip attachment, they have come down to the low 100s in the past, I have a superseded 16-1 which i've used to cut hair also without complaints, the anti nip attachment (its the one on the top left in the grid below) works well too.

  • Can be used as a hair clipper?

    • Yep

  • 16-hour charge though

    • +1

And no battery level indicator either which sucks

  • Has anyone had any experience between this or the oneblade pro? Tried looking around and not as much info. Really only wanting it to trim the beard to a 2-3mm and to shave the neck.
