JB Hi-Fi Stacks Competitions Winning Criteria

I've entered a few Stacks competitions (Jb Hifi) and they post names of winners after entries close etc.
But I think they should really post details of what the exact winning answers are instead of just names of winners. This would show how they really judged the creativeness of entries and how good it really was to be worth a win.

Just my opinion

I hate those 25 words or less competitions.

When I was a young lad I entered a compeition in some local computer magazine. I won some edutainment package for my under 25 words entry. The winner won a computer with a 2 page essay! I was fuming, they broke the rules and still won…wtf.

    • Had this about 6 months ago with a FB one, but by the time their error was pointed out, the prize had been mailed out.

Looks like they've tightened the reins since (we made it pretty well known on their post that they fked up lol)

Competitions are a cheap way to build mailing lists by getting people to hand over email details for (almost) nothing.

“25 words or less” competitions are even cheaper as they don’t count as raffles / gambling but as games of skill.

Given this, I seriously doubt that anyone bothers to read more than a handful of the entries, if that.

agree… first funny one in first 5 wins everytime.

      • I entered 3 Stack competitions on the last day, 5 minutes before the closing time and won all 3 prizes!

        • I've won a ton of spam I never got before entering comps on here :D

I very much doubt anyone reads the 25 words or less entries, its probably just randomized.

    • i can confirm when we ran one a few years ago we randomized the results, this was for a large well known company

      • so there's no skill involved at all? that's just crappy they mislead people and get away with deception. So much for creativity and time spent answering their half-baked questions…

  • I won one of these in zoo magazine when I was a teenager. Got a few Blu-rays from memory. I doubt i was super fast to answer but maybe not many did.

  • Where does one enter these competitions?
