Techfast - How Long Did You Have to Wait for Delivery?

I've been waiting for an order for 6 weeks now and I'm curious to know what the average delivery time is for Techfast. If I had known it was going to take this long, I would have considered another supplier who had a better commitment to their delivery time frames and not backlog their orders so much/ have stock on hand etc.

An update on my experience:

I've received the PC and it's fantastic. Initially I thought there was an issue when booting it up, but had to make sure the power unit was switched on (duh). Have been using the unactivated Windows without any issue so far. Shipped in two boxes (one inside the other), standard foam around the unit and also packed with additional support inside the machine. I was concerned about having a PC shipped to me, but was pleased to see that it was well protected.

To also add, whilst I was hoping for a faster delivery, I did understand that stock of new cards was tight. The poll reflects a spectrum of situations - A year from now when stock is consistent and not so hot right now, I would assume that deliveries can be met quicker.

What this poll considers

This poll might also help others who are considering purchasing from Techfast to know what to roughly expect for turnaround time.

This poll assumes you have ordered off one of their deals with/without optional customisation within their configuration options. You could make the assumtption that if you are buying newly released items, delivery times may extend.

(edit) It doesn't deliniate the difference between availabilites of possibilities of hard to source stock.

        When I called them I got a message about how the phone line was not available due to WFH… which isn't great but they've been responsive to emails within 1 day

      They have been good at keeping me updated, it's waiting for stock that has been the main issue

    This is the tradeoff you get for good value is reduced customer service investment for each PC - simply the way they save money that we get passed on. But when I bought my PC, it was below the parts prices available individually, and thus a long lead time was the tradeoff I knew I was making.

    Depends on what PC you bought
    and what they said at the time.

    Luke who usually posts deals is usually pretty clear about delays/shipping times

    on a side note

    have bought 3 machines from TF

    First one : 10 days from order
    Second one: 21 days (small delay due to GPU) but they let me know
    Third one: Waiting on it now, but Luke was upfront and said Late Jan / Early Feb when i ordered

      Did they come fast once shipped tho?. Hopefully that at least is fast. Pray to god that the system isn't damaged in the process.

    They word their timeframes very vaguely to manage expectations. As other have mentioned, you trade value for very slow, but good service.

    "we AIM to reply within 1 business day"… Yes, the aim is 1 business day. The reality is 2-3 business days.
    "the EXPECTED shipping times are from the middle of January onwards"… Yes the expectation is Jan, the reality is late Jan.
    "ESTIMATED 14 business days"… Yes estimation is 14.. reality is 20+ days.

    I bought rx 5700 xt deal from their black friday deal. Took 16 business days to get the shipping and plus 9 days for auspost to deliver. But, people who bought it after me had to wait longer as the GPU out of stock and had to wait until the end of December. I did email them about GPU stock before purchase, and they said they had more gigabyte GPU than MSI. But in reality, everyone got MSI GPU. I'm still happy with the PC though, but their building time doesn't make sense to me.

      Shipping for these will be pretty quick - everything we're offering is on hand so turnaround should be within a few business days for these systems.

    Yea…Thinking back on it now, I should 100 percent have ordered from Virco as they had guaranteed that it would come before Christmas. I was however completely unware of Techfast shipping times. Welp, Nothing left to do but wait, painfully.

    Picked up the previous no GPU system back in September - ordered on 12/9 and was delivered on 19/9.

    Pretty happy with the turnaround, but not so happy with the subsequent 3 months to hunt down a decently priced RTX30XX…

      Delivery times was a little longer than they advised however customer service and quality are both fantastic!

    what brand ram and ssd do they use as they never specify. Are they shitty off brands from like aliexpress or actual brands eg. corsair, samsung?
