I didn't get the Limited Edition CD key since I wanted to see what it was like first and thought I could get B2K for $10-$15 (I read it somewhere, forgot where) not expecting us Australians to get shafted (although, it's quite a trend, isn't it?) since Origin is making us pay $23.99 instead of the $14.99 the Americans pay despite our currency rates being pretty close.

Anyway, I couldn't find any cheaper solutions being discuss on Google, but good old Amazon seems to give the best deal (which, in a way, isn't really a deal, since it's still Origin's price) but at least you don't have to bend over for Origin and pay the extra $8 - $9. Also, the key gets delivered straight after the payment gets processed (better than those Russian CD Keys sites).

Amazon will ask for a US address. You can just fake it. Google up any post code for whichever state you're pretending to live in and it'll still work.

Anyway, this is just for anyone else who doesn't know about it. Reporting from Sacremento 94254, CA. Out.

  • I think it was about $15 diff in the Australian priced Limited vs Standard editions on Origin originally.
So I'm not surprised it is +$20 for the new maps now.

I'm sure we'll soon be seeing a flurry or russian cd key options now also.

  • Hmm I bought what I thought was the limited edition version from Gamearena at Bigpond - however it appears like it might just be the normal version because I'm being asked to pay for DLC….

    • Apparently, you should've gotten two CD keys when you buy the LE versions, one for the game itself, and then another for the DLC. If you haven't redeemed the other key, you'll get the message that you still need to pay.

      • Not true. You only got one key for the Limited Edition.

        • Yeah I bought it from greenman and only one key

      • I got the russian "extended edition" which came as 2 separate keys. I think the Australian LE was always just a single key

      • Negative, I brought the Limited Edition and only got ONE CD key. Origin and the BF3 site says I purchased the Limited Edition and Back to Karkland will be available soon. (released now of course) and was downloaded in a recent patch.

      • Woops, I guess it's only for those Russian sites then.

  • Amazon will ask for a US address. You can just fake it. Google up any post code for whichever state you're pretending to live in and it'll still work.

Does this work for other game CD Keys sold at Amazon.com? I was gonna post a deal yesterday, but then saw it was restricted to U.S. billing addresses so I didn't post it.

    • I'm not sure, but I remember reading in a few other deals here for games on Amazon in the past that don't really care about your real address, so I would assume so. That's why I still gave it a go lol

  • Thanks OP. I bought the standard Russian version for about $15 not really expecting to like the game, but have found that i've been playing it quite a bit. Been thinking about getting the DLC, and this is a pretty good price.

  • You will get the Karkland…

  • Close origin, restart your computer & restart origin. Then go to battle log & update via the link down the bottom.
It will update it to the latest patch already.

If you have access to B2K it will appear in your server filters.

  • It's $11.90 on direct2drive.com with the 20% off, tried to buy from them but they ban you on your ip :(

  • It looks like some people are having trouble getting the codes from Amazon to work according to the comments on Amazon…

  • Thought I'd mention that if anyone's having trouble with battlelog telling them they need to have buy karkland even after entering the code in to origon. You need to log out and back in to the battlelog page. Like actually click the "sign out" link at the top of the page

Even after trying things like restarting my PC wouldn't make it work.
