The best way to get the cashback is by getting it price matched at a sony store. They give you the eftpos card straightaway. Purchasing online and claiming takes ages. Took 3 months to get mine after i decided not to buy from a sony store and purchased online to get some extra cashback through cashrewards…

just said invalid : ;and thats it :: no explanation ; no nothing : ; I felt really bad the day , as i never knew the big company promotion like SONy can behave like this : lesson learned !! no more cash back claim :: CANON are still king for the customer service : they sent me cash back right away and their commmunication is superb ! always replys email within few days : I loved Sony and now I am thinking twice !!
request a chargeback for the cashback amount and cite the cashback promo and show that you met all the conditions.

If you price match the lower Digidirect price at Sony directly you can get the 6% cashback
Final price is $3985.65*0.94-$600=$3146.5
Also buying directly from Sony should overcome issues with not getting a cashback claim but yeah I don't know that for sure.

ALERT !! ALERT !! Donot buy ANYTHING from SONY CASH back !! AS they can choose not to provide cashback to the buyer and say invalid : i bought directly from sony online on AUGUST cash back worth 800$ , , and some of my friends did same . Sony didnot provide any info nor msg , so pls beware ! its just a scam. i lost the cash back . I might inform the consumer rights and so on , but its a lot of headache to go through . Only selected may get giftcard others dont . so , pls consider spending your hard money . Learnt my way , now , NEver ever buying anything on SONY which got cash BACK ON it .
