Six Months Free Tune in Radio Premium No Credit Card Required Live NHL Games, 600 Commercial Free Music Stations

Not sure if anyone is interested in this deal but I purchased Tune in Radio Pro a number of years ago however in the last 6 months the app has really gone down hill with the inability to record live radio.

So I messaged customer support for a refund but they would not refund me the money but they did give me this code for a free six months free of tune in radio premium. I decided not to push the refund as I paid it with Telstra Pre Paid Credit a number of years ago so it never really cost me anything.

It doesn't seem to interest me too much but I know there are a heap of free online sports to listen to plus other stuff that some of you may be keen on.

It appears to be a generic code so give it a go.

Some features:

TuneIn Premium is a paid subscription service that we offer for both apps. With TuneIn Premium, listeners will get everything featured in the TuneIn standard free service, plus live NHL games, more than 600 commercial-free music stations, and an ad-free experience. The TuneIn Premium service can be accessed by logging into a Premium account both on the TuneIn Radio Pro app, and our Free app.

        Thanks…

        Not interested in NHL….

    • I like having access to news channels on the go eg. CNN International.

There's a contradictory sentence if ever there was one.

This app was good many years ago. I think I had premium, never paid for it though so must of got it during a promo. Then after an update or two it was riddled with ads and haven't used it since.

I'd say you paid for Pro. Then they implemented this premium thing.

  • Or once you click on "Redeem", you can click on "Sign in" if you already have a free TuneIn account.

But it does say "After your free trial ends, you will get Premium for $13.91/month. Feel free to add your credit card information at anytime during your trial from the Settings page."

I'm a little worried that it will automatically charge me after the 6 months, because when I go to the Settings page within the app, it takes to me my IOS AppStore which is linked to my CC.

    • I am worried that after 6 months they are going to use my Google Play credit.

      • I have added a reminder in my calendar a week before the trial is up to manually cancel the subscription

Thanks, I managed to get access. There are a couple of extra steps (obvious ones that I should have thought of) required.

Can't see how they're able to charge me after 6 months without having payment instructions inputted directly into the app in Settings (Manage Subscription).

    • They will probably take credit from your play store or apple store account.

  • If i remember they use to have NFL coverage.. whatever happened to that?.

    What does "Less Ads" mean?.

  • These are the two Premium content channels this gets you over Tune In Pro:

    • FOX News Radio
    • Bloomberg Media
    • CNN International is also available on Pro?

      • Yes, CNN International is available on Pro. (I signed out of Premium and checked)

Is there a station that reads Little Golden Books aloud? It will have about the same factual content as CNN, only at a higher IQ level. :-D

  • Less Ads on 100,000 Radio Stations

    hmm. well signed up anyway.

  • good for android auto or carplay i guess

Worked for me, good with WAZE navigator…

  • Tried the code and it says I am on premium already can’t even remember I got the premium I think I was using scribd code May last year. Not sure where I got that but hopefully they keep my premium.
Not sure where to check if I got credit card details setup?

  • I signed up using the promo code. Doesn't look like that it offers much more than the TuneIn Pro which I already had.

    • I think it's meant to get rid of ads.. which I was still getting in TuneIn Pro

  • Nice! Worked for me by clicking your link. Thanks

Tune in Radio are going to wish they just gave me the refund.

  • I don't know if I'll use it but it's free thanks op!

Edit I found: https://tunein.com/radio/Bloomberg-Radio-s165740/ to be good

  • Cheers OP, Just in time with previous promotional period thru Scribd expiring in 2 wks … been using heaps; lots of stations otherwise unavailable on alt radio-apps. Also good source of podcasts.

  • Thanks man for sharing this, I love tune in and I always listen to Sydney radio stations on there since regional NSW has the worst stations for music and talk shows. Big thanks man! 😊

  • I can't figure out what extra features you get. Seems it's just 2 extra radio stations. Why would anyone pay 14 dollars a month for this?

    • +1

      Actually ~ 5 news-radio stations and 14 various music stations (TuneIn-exclusive).

      All of these are commercial-free.

Access requires US-VPN connection to initiate the stream.

      • +1

Ah ok, still seems a rip off. Especially when Spotify is only 10 bucks a month.

        • If paying, probably agree. For 6 months free, it’s great service.

Don’t forget the some 600 ‘reduced-ad’ stations as well when Premium activated + live NHL if that’s your thing.

  • Cheers OP, use it anyway so got it.

Scribd have changed their offer for TuneIn (probably after OzB hammering last year!). Free TuneIn each month (ongoing) as long as you have a Scribd subscription.

  • cheers giving it a crack :)

  • Thanks OP, worked perfectly. I had pro version of app but still had ads.
