But Christmas is over. Should be discounted just like all those Christmas Mince Pies from Coles.

    • Username checks out! Am not a Christian and don’t celebrate Christmas and I ordered one.

      • not surprising - apart from the name "Christmas", the true story of Christmas has nothing to do with Christmas trees, reindeer, elves or the snow. Now a nativity scene - that would surprise me if a non-Christian bought it.

    • Should be discounted just like all those Christmas Mince Pies from Coles.

Unlike those mince pies, this Lego set won't expire a couple of weeks after Christmas.

      • Neither do Christmas lights, wrapping paper and decorations :P

  • Like the 10 bon bon pack from Kmart I bought $5 to 50c lol

    • You were had it seems.

      They dropped to 20c now.

Gingerbread house also back in stock for those interested.

Thanks nabbed one. The gingerbread house is older than the elf house (2018 vs 2020) so I figure I have time to wait for a better promo before buying the elf house.

  • does applying the gift code invalidate cashback?

    • Yes most likely

    • Oh no. Didn’t check cashback…

Btw Lego.com are hopeless with stock. Ordered the Chinese New year Childhood memories duplo within minutes of launch and it was put into backorder. When I bought it said stock was available. Also bonus GWP was out of stock. Separately ordered other sets on my wife's account and GWP didn't track either. Customer service is also very slow to respond

I ordered two Hedwigs and some other item from lego.com on Jan 01. A week or so later the other item shipped. I wondered where the hedwigs were so I logged into lego.com and the status is "backordered".

Would rather cancel and buy from kmart/target/etc in-store and so I emailed lego customer service to request cancellation - it's been 8 days and no response. So, I can't even go and buy from a local retailer as lego may reply a week from now with "your item has shipped, yippee!"

Lesson learned - don't order from lego.com if you need it for a birthday.

Close to Xmas i ordered the Lego batwing. As soon as I put the order in it said out of stock and back ordered.

I contacted Lego they apologised and gave me some vip points and gwp. They told me it would came back in x date. When it came back in stock the system didn't hold one for my back order and it went out of stock again.

When I contacted them they said it was a system glitch. They refunded me and gave me more vip points.

I had enough vip points to get the spring lantern festival pretty much for free.

Moral is they have bad service but they happily give out points as compensation

        • Ok just emailed them. Don't be know why I didn't think to do so earlier. Anyway I ended up also buying the CNY sets from DJs when they had 20% off. I paid part in VIP points for the set on Lego.com so will just have to wait.

      • maybe hedwig went to the hogwart castle instead, :)

I think I've finally figured this out. Nobody who is sane could pay the prices for these lego sets. This shit is a code for heroin or meth. 1 Elf must equal 20 meths or something. You druggos.

    • Once you bought one, you are hooked

      • I ate a meth once, I didn't like it

    • Hahaha. Have a + vote for some genuinely funny Lego bashing, for once.

But you're right, this sh*t is about as addictive as ice/meth. Probably as expensive per hit too but at least you're a lot less likely to get a shanking/Hepatitis from it.

  • I know it's out of stock again, but I'm curious what the code is for - free delivery maybe?
$149 rrp. And It was that price in the Lego store who had stock even when it was supposedly out of stock on the Lego website. I'm hoping one of the High Street store will pick this up next year because $149 for 1,197 pieces doesn't seem a very good deal for a set that isn't licensed.
The Gingerbread House has nearly 300 more pices for just an extra $10.

    • The code is for the free gift when you spend more than $109, a chopper or water scooter.

Spend $149 to qualify for free delivery.

I like the design of this set and that’s why I bought it. There is also a light kit for this set that makes it even nicer.

      • Thanks khey.

I've seen it built in the Lego store and it is indeed a nice looking set.

  • Just had a horrible experience with Toll which they use for delivery. Had to get Lego to escalate in the end as they failed 4 times to re-deliver. The contact centre staff are as nice as can be, the rest of their organisation seems completlely disorganised.

    • Toll are so bad. When I told them I didn't like the fact they'd put a hole right through an outer carton and into the inner one, they hung up on me.
I called back straight away and got the same toll customer rep. She hung up on me immediately.
      Lego organised a replacement.
Toll collected the damaged one. Didn't give ANY warning they were coming to collect, the driver just suddenly appeared.

Toll are the second worst delivery group, only Fastway is worse (delivering to the wrong address, suburbs away, multiple times). I think they are relying on people's honesty to deliver for them, so they can be lazy and shorten their workday.

      • Fastway was so bad they had to rebrand the company to Aramex lol

  • My order is shipped!

  • back in stock.
