    REP I'm after a carplay unit to install into a 2019 Renault Master to replace the factory double din unit.

    Any units that will sync up to the steering controls without an adapter? And do you have harnesses to make it plug and play?

    Help me decide. I need a double din head unit with rca/sub outs, physical buttons for voulume (no touch screen buttons like the Pioneer Z5350BT), DAB+ a bonus but I never listen to radio and most importantly, reliable with Android Auto. I already have a reverse camera and external mic that I wired up. I'm replacing a chinese core 2 duo andorid head unit. No steering wheel controls. I will use it with AAuto but wife will also connect it for bluetooth calls on her iPhone.

    I can't make up my mind. Budget is $500-600. Do I go with another Chineese unit with octa core or go an official branded HU? Mines been going strong with Youtube videos/spotify/waze etc but the core 2 duo + 2GB of ram is suffering performance wise.

    I've used the Alpine ILX-702D in a BT50 and loved it, Sony XAV5000 looks good too - The 5500 I think just has better preamp but I don't need it. I've been reading that Kenwood is the leader with A/Auto HUs. I want something where the manufacturer updates the OS to fix bugs. A lot of posts I've read say they have AAuto connection issues. Wireless AA is too expensive for the convenience.
