      Because of comments like this…

No, but i vote getting upset over ozbargain comments and then posting forum posts about it should be banned

      • Posting Justice Warrior comments… I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)

Sorry what was wrong with the comment in this linked forum? I couldn't see anything wrong.

you need to highlight the actual bargains ,the first two items in that posts topic , i can find cheaper with minimal searching.

Personal opinion but catalogues should be allowed if it contains a proper deal of some sort, so a list of items underneath which are great price would be good.

If Aldi were selling Nintendo Switches for $100 via their catalogue, I doubt many or any would be 'negging' it. It's a bargain to be had, then it should be posted even if catalogue, or store advertising material, etc.

  • I would rather see Harvey Norman press adverts banned. Every day the Melbourne Herald Sun has anywhere from 4 -16 full page adverts. The huge cost of which (after manufacturer rebates) is simply added to the consumer prices

  • Well, not if they are full of 50% off bargains!

I thought we were talking about paper based catalogues but just poorly phrased and I was down for that. But linking to digital catalogues, so what.

me too. I was thinking about the junk mail and circulars.

  • They are going to stop delivering free compost? It is pretty good for putting on top of the worm farm to avoid flies laying eggs etc. and keeping things moist.

I used to get catalogues posted to me years ago and now I only seem to get them around christmas time. Does anyone know how to get department store catalogues mailed regularly?

If Aldi are proposing a genuine sale item/bargain, then yes by all means make a post to highlight the bargain.
If Aldi are selling something that can be had at retail pricing form any other shop 24/7/365 then its not a bargain.

Of course it's okay in OzValue ozbargain spirit. It is tagged as "long running deal", especially for unique yet generic item which you can find similar & cheaper items in eBay BUT not the exact same model
