  • How is this better than say iMovie or Windows MovieMaker which are both free?

Edit: Movie Maker was officially discontinued on January 10, 2017 and it is replaced by Video Editor (formerly Microsoft Story Remix) which is built in with Microsoft Photos on Windows 10. - Wiki

    • You can still install movie maker though :)

You also have lightworks and resolve.
Or if you want simple like this, filmora.

Regardless, I don't understand the pricing structure.

There's a key bullet point on their website "free lifetime upgrades".

Unless I expect to rely on support, why would I pay for anything other than 1 month? Once it's installed and working, I really don't need the companies support anymore. 1 month should be long enough to finish config.
