  • It doesn’t mention what benefits are available on an iPhone if we install this software ?

The benefit of slowing down your phone and wasting space? Nothing against Bitdefender on PC, it's a decent antivirus but any phone antivirus is a gimmick at best.

      • Depends. I have apps like spotify and YouTube adfree amongst other illegal streaming apps so I have it installed and its great. Doesn't affect battery life much at all

Good deal, thanks. Have option to purchase for 39.99 NZ dollars so could save about $au2.50.

  • Thanks, now I'm all good until July 2023.

    • Ahhh so it stacks… so did you have a family pack subscription before? I’ve only got the 5 device Total Security so I’m not sure if I should wait until that expires.

      • I would like to know as well

      • Yes, I had an active family pack subscription that was due to expire July 2021. After buying a licence code and logging into my account I was able to extend my current subscription.

      • I have purchased a subscription, however I only had the Total Security before so it didn't stack :(

    • For those of us with an existing 5 device total security subscription is there any reason we can’t activate this purchase when the existing one expires?

      • They don't stack, so I'm just keeping the new license until my total security subscription expires

        • Can't seem to find anything that says you have to activate by a certain date so I'm assuming that's the best strategy for total security subscriptions.

  • I'm wondering if I buy 2 will it give me 4 years worth?

    • +2

Yes it will. First activate one license in Central and assign on a device - wait for the central account to sync the device - now add the second license and it will ask you if you want to extend the existing license or add it as a new license - choose extend and you are done.

If you don't have 15 devices in your home like me, Kaspersky is much cheaper for 2-3 devices !

I would rather have 2 device, 15 years.

  • Can it be bought now and then used in 6 months time?

  • What's with the extended download option for $4.95? Sounds fishy and unnecessary. Are they saying you can't reinstall without it?

    • +1

That's from Cleverbridge, PC World's 3rd party sales portal. It is unnecessary unless you delete the email that includes the subscription activation code or don't bother recording/saving it. Once you activate in Bitdefender's account portal, you are good for 2 years, as that's what controls the installs/devices.

      • Right. Thank you! They make it sound like you have to install all 15 licenses at once without it.
