Isn't these one off the fitbit's that you know have to pay to unlock the stats, with fitbit premium?

Yes, some of my versa features are locked behind premium. I wouldn't buy one again.

What's a good alternative for something that has steps, heartrate, sleep, gps and tap to pay?

I just got a Garmin Venu Square for my partner. She likes it so far. Worth checking out. I paid $260 for a white/gold one off Amazon a few weeks back

          • @cittris: I am looking to get in similar colour in Garmin Vivoactive 3
How this watch when compared to square one ?

          • @cittris: Was it the Music version? I am also coming out of Fitbit ecosystem. Eyeing the Venu Sq as well.

Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS has all the above.

  • for those who have one, how accurate is the step count cf apple watch? i had one of the earlier fitbits and the step counts are sometimes hit and miss.

  • After all the research and comparison I've done, I'm actually thinking of buy a Samsung Watch 3 for my family.
(I compared Apple Watch 6, Samsung Watch 3, Samsung Active 2, Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Versa, Huawei GT 2 Pro, Amazfit GTR 2, GTS 2 and TicWatch Pro 3)

Samsung Watch 3 has all the fitness features on par with Apple Watch 6. Particularly with the recent announcement for the EU model which will get ECG and blood pressure* readings. Though not sure when these would ever be made available to the Australian model. :(

Not sure what you guys thoughts are?

I think blood pressure reading is what Apple Watch 6 lacks of but I could be wrong?

.*Requires a conventional cuff monitor for calibration. For non-EU/US models and Android users, you can 'unlock' this feature by downloading APK.

    B.S..
As I mentioned in previous comments to warn people, Fitbit does not use the GPS data for distance and speed for runs. If uses step count and guesstimated stride length, resulting in wrong stats. I returned a Fitbit for this reason.
