  I recently bought one of these as an upgrade to my 10 year old clippers for shaving my head.

  I didn't realise that the prongs of the detachable hair guides are pretty sharp. On my old clippers they were rounded off and would glide over my skin easily.

    Pits copped a scratching. Definitely recommend using the black plastic clip. Lucky I didn't try other places first.

  Got one of these and find it good, haven't had to charge it yet (not a lot for me to cut). Just be a bit careful with the short hair comb, I was initially annoyed thinking it only went to a number 3 but 3 wasn't 3, it was .05, and as I went right up the side of my head I was rocking a weird baldy undercut for a week or so.

    That's interesting - I found that the number 3 was longer than my old Philips number 3. Not sure which one was correct.

      I just had another look to see if it was user error on my part. It's has the 3-15 clear clip on it and if i put something flat across the plastic I reckon the gap to the blades is about 3-4 mm. Which is about a 1. Google has a 3 about 9.5-10mm.
