We think it would be unfair to comment on others competitor's product. In order to be fair to both parties, please refer to the link for 2 products independent reviews:-

Feel free to decide from there. :)

    • RF602s really suck. Seriously, it's not even current. The RF603s aren't too great either tho.

Are Stratos TTL or manual triggers? The ISS is completely unclear.

      • OK seems these are just manual triggers. TTL passthru is nothing useful for me w/o full w-TTL and at this price point has fewer other features than competitors.

        • Out of interest, can you let me know what other competitors are out there to consider at around the $100 mark?

      • the stratos are manual triggers. I've got a set with my Pixel Kings.. and they haven't missed a beat. A bit more expensive than the RF603s, but they're good if you need a bit reliability without ETTL

I'm new to DSLR, and am wondering if the battery grips here are any good compared to the official Canon battery grips.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks in advance!

Also, what are these wireless triggers? I tried googling, but all these fancy terms like TTL just makes things more and more confusing the more I google ><

    • Kirynflare, what DSLR you are using ? Please provide us your model and we will give you some independent review of the product. :)

  • I have numerous flash trigger units, sadly the one I used the most is the cheapest and crappiest. Mostly for studio flash work, its a boling (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?29590-Cheap-… similar to this one, same trigger unit, different receiver units). Its a completely dumb trigger and in the years i've had it, its never run out of batteries (i've had a few different "dumb" triggers over the years and they all have been similar).

Generally I find though I dont often need high-speed sync so they do me quite fine up to about 1/200 and they have yet to let me down.

For anything faster i've got pixel knights (originally i had pixel kings and they got swapped for various reasons), which are TTL capable remote triggers. They work quite ok though i feel like they can chew batteries quite quickly in comparison. My studio strobes arent capable of high-speed sync and i dont tend to use my canon speedlights off-camera (cept on a flash bracket, but thats via a cord) too often so they dont get alot of use in reality.

Reason i mention all that about the "dumb" flash triggers is that while i've not used these specific ones, they function quite well unless you need high-speed sync - at least, so far that's been my experience.
