Good deal.

I bought one. Maybe you want to too.

32GB version is $10.89 which seems pretty cheap too.

These work great on the iPad Pro

Different Sandisk design for similar product also available for roughly the same price SDDDC3-256G-G46 @$41.90.
Personally I'd prefer any of the Samsung USB 3.1 devices that achieve double the read speeds, but they definitely cost more, at >$70, and at that price it just makes sense to go for an even faster, and larger 500GB T5 which can be had for $89.
    Decisions, decisions….

    • That one you linked is a much better design, I had the Ultra Dual listed by OP and the hinge is terrible. Just ordered the Dual Drive Go.

I've had the one in the OP before. Terrible design. And I've had so many reliability issues with the SanDisk "ultra" tier of products (both USB and microSD).

I don't use SanDisk budget tier products for anything crucial anymore. They're also quite slow.

Samsung flash drives are excellent (I have 3) as are their SD cards.

That being said the SanDisk extreme line are also excellent. I have a couple of them and I highly recommend them. But they're pricey

as mentioned in previous listings these drives are super slow, good value though

  • +3

While the price is decent these run really hot pretty quickly then start to throttle.

  • +4

Slow but pretty much the only option for USB C flash drives. USB C has a long way to go before it can replace USB A.

Did you perchance see my comment lol

I purchsed 3 of these and the sliding mechanism on all of them have broken with only light use. Do not recommend.

    • +3

Same I bought on a previous deal. They break almost instantly and the sliding mechanism doesn't catch making them difficult to insert into a USB slot. Don't waste your money, they're garbage.

      • Use one finger to push the slider and keep it sliding back when inserting into the slot.

        • Impossible when the USB slot is between the power cord and HDMI slot on my laptop. Anything with this clear of a design flaw that requires a faulty latch to be physically held while you try to use the product is garbage. There are so many good USB sticks out there, this is definitely not one of them.

          • @steve54321: ah, laptops do make it harder.

There are indeed better USB sticks out there, but not many that have USB C. And more and more laptops are getting USB C only. XPS 15 no longer has USB A.

I would love to switch to a better dual USB stick, but there just aren't any alternatives out there.

Same. I'm really disappointed with the sliding mechanism. They're an otherwise excellent unit. SanDisk need to do a rev2 for these things. Maybe I should open it up and 3d print a custom enclosure.

I have had one and the hinge/slide mechanism really is terrible, I just ordered the one HiredGoon recommended above for around same price.

I bought a 128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO USB 3.2 for $45 using Catch $15 off $60 and discounted gift cards and dont regret it

SSD speeds in a flash drive

    • +1

      But not usb c

      • Most modern laptops still have usb3
For your phone, you can use a cheap usb3 to c adaptor or they are included with sammy phones

  • Write speeds are HORRIFICALLY slow. Do not recommend at all.

  • +1

Man the sentiment has really changed, when this USB (lower GB thou) was posted a year or two ago I noted it was much slower than my USB sandisk ultra flair, and people were all arguing to me saying it was reasonable for the Job & that it filled the niche of working on both C and A devices…

Now heaps are jumping on it and agreeing it's frustratingly slow.
It is handy to use between my PC and Phone though. Just don't recommend using it as a USB apart from those niche uses since it is quite slow

    • Tech changes quickly.
      Moore’s law.

  • It's back at a new low price of $37.25.
