Original Post

I got this generic code voucher after purchasing something from Drakes supermarket today. Thought others might like it too.

It's a free Fringe Membership worth $25 and it also won't charge you the $2.70 booking fee.

Here is what it gives you:

Just after the basics? Become a Fringe Member and receive:

  • 5x 2-for-1 tix to participating Fringe 2021 events
  • 2x Free Movie screening invites for you and a friend
  • Happy Hour priced drinks at participating SA venues
  • Exclusive discounts, competitions and freebies year round
  • The first to hear about upcoming arts and entertainment news in SA
  • Members priority phone queue
  • Express tix collection

You can also get $25 off the Fanatic Membership which costs $40 if you would prefer. Unsure if this one will charge you the $2.70 booking fee, someone will need to check.

Here are the details:

  • 4 x Free Movie screening invites for you and a friend
  • Happy Hour priced drinks at participating SA venues
  • Exclusive access to Fanatic only events

  • Express is a huge thing, took about 45 mins to get into garden of unearthly delights 2 years ago
The adelaide bank express lane had like 50 people the whole wait

  • Nice deal. Thanks OP

  • What's the actual benefit of fanatic over normal membership? Are the fanatic events worth the extra $25?

    • +1

Unlimited 2-1. If you see alot of shows, it's for you.

I'll go free, that's still 5x. I doubt the more exclusive expensive shows are included.

Cheers. Was thinking about it because I'm heading over to Adelaide with the gf from 19th of Feb to the 9th March so it may be worth to grab 1 paid and 1 free membership. Never been to the Fringe though so not exactly sure how many shows we'd want to see.

  • Damn. Just bought tix today. Thanks op

Hey everyone, I love a freebie as much as the next guy but looking into it, it looks like these membership fees go to supporting a not for profit and artists at the festival. Especially with Covid destroying the arts this last year, maybe use it to upgrade for $15 or think about passing on this one. Cheers

    • Yeah I didn't realise it would create quite the stir.
I feel bad for uploading it, but figured they would have made it a generic code if there was a problem.

      • I don’t understand why the Adelaide Fringe people are annoyed by people sharing it. It’s good advertising and people like me will drive 4 hours to Adelaide, spent time and money in the city, buy tickets for shows. It’s just saving 27 bucks but still spending 100s. However I shared it as a blogger on my blog and it will bring more customers to them that it will cost them.

Because performers dont have foresight. They look internally when assessing risk. I'm sure fringe orginsiers would see the benefit, otherwise it wouldnt be a generic code.

  • Code wasn't being accepted late last night. It seems to have been reset earlier this morning and should be all good to use again. Worked for me at 10am.

Pffffffffffttttttttt………………….Fringe will make plenty of money this season. To kick up a fuss over a generic code is a joke. Weak Fringe line up this year. Normally go to 10 shows at least, this year will be lucky to go to 3 based on whats on offer.

The emails seem like they are from individual peformers as well. Not well written and weak.

    BOOOOOOOOOO

    • That's just the way it goes when there is no international acts and less from interstate too.

      • Less from interstate aka Victoria

  • If only I had of seen this a couple of days ago.I have not Drakes nearby :(
