  • I bought 6 with 6 monthly delivery with subscribe and save. I saw that there was a delivery charge of $5.99 even though the order total was $81. Just a caveat to look out for this for anyone ordering. FYI, I am not a prime member.

    • I think you were looking at fast delivery. 1-2 days longer and it's free (over $39)

    • Am wondering if this 6 with 6 monthly delivery will charge you 6*$13.5 for total charge in the next 6 month or :
charge you 13.5 for the first delivery, when the price goes back to normal ~$30, you need to pay $27 for the second delivery?..

      • +1

It's the second of those, unfortunately.
Basically when you subscribe and save, you get an instant order with 10% off (which appears in your list of orders), PLUS you get a subscription whereby you pay whatever the price is when the subscription is due.
For this reason, personally I set up an subscription for however many I want (e.g. 4 x 1 kg in this case), with a 6 month recurrence (i.e. a long way into the future, just to be safe), save/agree. Then straight away I cancel the subscription. Result is an immediate 10% discount ($6 total in this case for the 4 items) on the order price, and no commitment to pay an unknown price in the future.
Amazon subscriptions would be MUCH more useful if you could lock-in the price at the time you subscribed, but since it does not work that way, they're actually kinda useless unless the item never goes on special, AND you're certain of how much you'll want it in a predictable amount of time.
