  A general word of warning regarding cheap enamelled cookware: in all those cheap ones I’ve ever had the enamel started chipping in a few months - and I tend to look after my stuff. This is true for the Aldi pots as well.

  At least in my experience this is an area where spending money means you’re saving money. I bought my Staub Dutch oven grudgingly (on special of course) some four odd years ago. I use it about x1-2/week and the enamel and coating look like they did when it was new. I have no doubt this thing will outlast me.

  Checked our Aldi dutch oven, same lid top and red dark fade as these and only $28. Cook bread in the Aldi Dutchy and has never melted!

  IKEA VARDAGEN range is the best. No enamel. Pure cast iron. Will last you lifetime. My mum has similar one inherited from her mum, and her mum from her mum. Now over 100 years old.
