[SA] Philips Hue Outdoor Lightstrip, 5M $115 @ Bunnings (Mile End)

170

Been on the fence about getting these as they were way overpriced in comparison to the competition, the Lytworx Neonflex

https://www.bunnings.com.au/lytworx-smart-neonflex_p0082224

But for $115 and the better reliability, this price can't be beat.

Not sure if it's National. Sale price on Amazon is usually $200 and RRP is over $300

Also, the Philips Hue Downlights is showing as $65 but in store it was $45

I know there's plenty of stock at Parafield Gardens, Mile End and Windsor Gardens

    This is a steal.

Maybe it’s in store to clear them out. I cannot see them online now and they were there before Christmas..

  • Nice find.

    The downlights, white or coloured?

Do Bunnings store match each other?

    • Not usually, gotta go to the store and look for the orange labels.

  • Generally they hue Down lights are white in aus..

They have rgb ones but the use gu10 globes so they don’t look nice..

They have nicer looking rgb ones in US not sure why they don’t bring them here

Just rang a couple of stores in Canberra and scanning at full price so must be a store clearance. I asked if they'd price match themselves and they said no as individual stores can clear overstocks. Great price though

  • Really good deal, let's hope it is available in other stores. My store specifically lol

Just been into Windsor Gardens and they're not on sale and won't price match. Single store only.

  • These are really good and an absolute bargain if you can get them at this price

    Amazon has them at $123

Ozbargain won't let me post the link.

  • Well I can vouch for the 5050 5m RGB strips on eBay. They're good quality and super bright! About 60 LEDs per metre.

    $32 shipped

      Was right behind you :p

    • called the store they said the are for 200$
they aren't offering it for 115$, that was something posted on Facebook????

i didnt even mention the ozbargain deal or asked them what price they were at.

but yeah not a clue how op got it for $115

      • I called the store. Price only for yesterday.

  • What do these have over the 5m Ali express LEDs for $25?

Mine arrived in 6 days and was enough to backlight two round 60cm bathroom mirrors. Just taped them on as a ring at the back with clear tape. Approx 1 m left over. I ordered an extra Bluetooth receiver for $4 to use the remaining strip for something later. All sealed up nicely/ water resistant.

Has the 5050 LEDs and does all colours ( white is all colours at the same time), music feature etc.

    • The Hue strip is IP67 rated (including the power pack and connectors), which I highly doubt the Aliexpress version is - although post the link if it is. It doesn't just have a silicon covering, it has a fully sealed flexible diffuser so you can run it around outdoor garden features. Plus obviously it integrates into the Hue ecosystem if you are invested in that.

      • The leds are fully concealed in a solid plastic/ silicone (just need to select the waterproof 5050 option). The power connector is just shrink wrapped in heat shrink. But it's 12v, so who cares.

        • I'd call those splashsproof, suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, etc. Not outside in the elements.

  • Went in today and asked about it. They said that this was in the wrong spot (price tag said $115) so they adjusted it on the order and that people kept showing a website with this receipt on it (ozb) but they aren't honouring it as it's an error. Super lucky you managed to get this, last time I went in to buy some hue lights the price was totally wrong (cause of how messy and bad the lighting section is) and they wouldn't honour it
