Free delivery over lockdown period in Melbourne on Deliveroo. Might be better than DoorDash $15 spend otherwise extra fee.

    Not to mention Doordash's delivery completely sucks as well - easily the slowest of the lot, since they get their drivers to pickup and deliver multiple orders from multiple restaurants in one go.

      I didn't know they actually pushed that that, getting the runaround from customer service on an order where the driver drove all over the city for more than an hour before giving me cold food was my issue with them. I thought it was just the drivers doing it to make extra cash.

        I had exactly the same issue! I also initially thought it was the driver completing additional deliveries behind DoorDash's back, but my suspicions changed when I called the driver and he admitted that he was late because he was completing other deliveries.

        The driver ended up delivering my food an hour after it was picked up - and forgot to pickup half of my order. I confronted DoorDash customer service directly and asked them if they allow their drivers to carry out multiple pick-ups and deliveries from different restaurants and they said that they do - so the drivers are just doing what DoorDash have told them to do. Easily the worst approach of all of the major food delivery apps.

    I completely agree that doordash's customer service is the worst among the major players (menulog, ubereats, deliveroo etc.). Had multiple issues with payment using a credit card and each time had to follow up with phone call and wasted a lot of time arguing with them. However, their one saving grace is that they offer a much better set of restaurants in my area. I'm not sure if it is suburb specific, but they just have way more restaurant options (menulog is next best).

  Pancake parlour also had 25% off min spend $20 which stacked.
  I got 2 desserts and an apple juice delivered for $23.12.
  Valentine's brunch sorted…

  Hey OB’ers. These restaurants are hurting and many close to bankruptcy. Please make every effort to deal directly with the restaurant rather than have these foreign companies steal their profit while paying riders a pittance. If you can possibly pick up please do so. Your food will be hot and the restaurant gets to keep the profit. Oh and the restaurant will still be there next time you go. 🙏🏻
