The RRP seems crazy considering how small the bottles are. Is this good stuff or just really hyped? Looked nice at first glance (thought I'd get it for my girlfriend), but not sure if I can can be bothered after looking at the content. The brush, hairdryer and lipstick is probably not gonna get used so it's basically just some tiny bottles of shampoo.. but again, I don't know these things, I buy 1litre of body wash for like $8 (used for hair too of course) and it's perfectly fine :P

EDIT: decided to ask girlfriend if they had nice stuff. She said no. Apparently Aveda is where it's at in terms of nice luxury shampoos etc.. and it has a lower RRP too, the 250ml is $10 and the 1litre is $30 for one of their cheaper (but wildly popular) shampoos and conditioners. Just FYI.

    • It's not really that crazy, 300ml is pretty normal for shampoo bottles, it's not tiny. I don't know if those products are actually any good, but they are probably alright for the price. I think the RRP is fairly reasonable for all those products, the prices are about right for what you'd pay for those items individually. That being said I'm not saying it's a super deal or anything, just looking at it objectively :)

      • Sure, seems crazy to me is all, never bought anything smaller than 500ml I think, but I'm a guy :) Seems I'm wrong about the Aveda prices too, I went to aveda.com.au and then clicked on to their online shop, but little did I know that I ended up at the US store.. so probably just ignore my posts

        • I understand why you think it's crazy - it is! Doesn't stop us (women) from going into debt for the sake of beauty though ;)

Yes, the US prices for Aveda are much more reasonable…in Australia they are pretty pricey but in many cases worth it. If your girlfriend likes Aveda you could get her a gift certificate from one of their salons so she can get what she really likes instead of you trying to guess :) They don't have many branded salons around though, so depending on where you are that may not work out. Sorry for babbling, once I get started…

"Doesn't stop us (women) from going into debt for the sake of beauty though ;)"

Clarify that by saying us STUPID women, please. ;) Not all of us waste a mortgage payment on unnecessary products.

    • Aveda is quite expensive actually, I use a conditioner from them and it is over $60 for 125ml. The products are definitely high quality and would be significantly better than the Hairhouse Warehouse Mega Pack products, but you do pay more.

      • Gee with hair as thick and long as mine I'd be looking at ~$40 each time I wash my hair.

  • Box looks really small to fit all those items listed

  • not too bad considering you get $20 gift voucher

  • Note that the $20 voucher is for salon services, not for redeeming products from my understanding.
No idea how much are hair cuts and stuff are though…

    • $40 for men haircut? =D

  • Well as someone who uses these products I can say these are excellent products and it is a deal. Like Elledee says not a super deal but for the price of the shampoo & condtioner (which I buy anyway) I will get a lot of other stuff for free.
