Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Draught Style Can (24×355mL) $60 @ Dan Murphy's (Members Special)

1410

First time poster, so go easy on me =)

Not sure if it's a bug, but Dan's is currently offering up 2 x 4-packs for $30, but when checking out a case (which I think is actually 6 x 4 packs) it calcuates the final cost to be $60, normally $86.99 a case, so a wicked deal.

A few people have pointed this out, but if you add 2 x 4-packs, then add another 4-pack (so 3 in total), the price remains the same. Thanks to those who are a lot smarter than me =)

Worked for me bought a case for $64 not $60. Still a ripper deal!

    • $64? That's weird. I bought 2 cases for $120…

Also just added another one to my cart and didn't check out, still calculated it at $60.

Wonder whether it's related to your location. I selected Dan Murphy's in Eltham just FYI.

Im a member but in the ACT, could be regional pricing.
We pay more for stuff in Canberra but have fewer lockdowns, swings and roundabouts:)

        • +4

          Container deposit tax….

        • +2

<insert Canberra roundabout joke here />

      • I just tried Eltham as well….came up at $60 for 6 packs but they've only got 2 left in stock….so delivery of $6.90.
        :-(

Now hopefully I can go camping soon…

Only if it's within 5km of home.

  • +1

    Cheers. Got a case.

  • +1

    In the states this 5.6%

More then triple the price here in oz and get less alcohol

  • +2

Damn you Americans for taking 20ml away from a (usually) standard Aussie can size.

480mls of Pale Ale goodness missing but still a ripper deal. Thanks OP.

    • +1

This isn't their normal pale ale. It's not as good.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, grabbed some myself.

  • +1

Thanks. Grabbed a case in SA for $64

  • +6

Did this the other day. $64 for the case, which is still a very good deal.

Keep in mind this is the Draught Style (as indicated on the can), which is different from the normal Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Slightly lower ABV, 5% instead of 5.6% and tastes slightly different.

  • +2

Anything under $75 for these is a steal. Cheers

  • +2

I ended up doing 3 packs for $30 which is still a good deal, didn't want to commit to 6 packs if I didn't like the taste as much as the regular non draught style.

  • +1

Bought a case for $60 CC. Thanks OP

  • +2

better to buy 3 packs ( or 6, or 9). 2 pack is the same price of a 3 pack.

    • $2.5 a can!

  • +1

Got one for $64 in WA, thanks OP! Great beer

  • +2

Wow, this is a great price. Confirmed pricing in Tassie is also $60.

  • +2

    Browser site has been OzBargained.

Had to checkout through the app.

    Thanks OP. Love this beer.

  • +2

This is pretty average guys. Anyone expecting something even close to their pale ale will be disappointed!

    • +2

I agree. The only time i bough this i didn't realise it was the "draft style" and was disappointed. I found it pretty uninspiring. Better off with a carton of Coopers Green.

    • oh wow, thanks for pointing this out, i was on the verge of ordering and just assumed they had stuck Draught in the name because it was in cans rather than the usual bottles. Will skip it then.

      • +1

I haven't tried this 'draught' version, however have never been disappointed with anything in the Sev Nev's range.

        • +1

Have you tried the Torpedo ?

    • +1

Don't know why you are getting negged. I totally agree. I bought a 4 pack over Xmas when they were clearing them out for $8, not what I was expecting at all.

      • +1

I sure did get negged haha. Just trying to help out! I love their pale ale, in a lot of ways it set the standard for them imo. My wife accidentally bought this beer though because it looked so similar it was misleading! It was very disappointing.

        • I can't un-neg my vote because it's longer than an hour since I posted.

I think I've had this before and it wasn't horrible.

For $60 (and as posted below a long best before) I'm happy to suck on these for a few months.

  • +3

Definitely being OzBargained, loads of stores OOS. Found one on my 5th store

    • Yup. Same here. Gave up in the end.

  • One Pack is 4 units not 6, a case for me is also $64, still good

  • Someone just snapped up the last at Doncaster whilst it was in my cart – I see you ;)

Every store around me has been Ozd

  • +1

    Hooray! Thanks :)

  • +1

Seems to be sold out - none available in any Dans within 10kms of me nor for home delivery.

  • Ordered 3 for $32 at Oxley, Qld. Insufficient stock to do the carton.

  • Great beer for the price.

  • Not sure what I'm doing wrong - I get to the checkout page and a case is $86.99 plus delivery?

    • +1

You have to add 6 4-packs rather than a case.

      • Nope, I ordered 1 case and it was $60.

  • +1

Thanks OP, showing $64 for me :)

  • +2

    Great first post mate!

    Snagged a slab for $60!

  • +1

Can't seem to do pick up nor delivery on this

    • the same is here, well, next time then!

  • Local Dan Murphys had 6 packs…. which checked out for $64 for 6x4packs.. which seemed like great value.

The price didn't change if you ordered 4 or 6.. and clearly if they had 8 that would have been great but since they didn't.. 6 packs it is!

  • How are you getting 3 for $39?
I added 2 packs to my cart, when I add a 3rd the price goes to $50.99?

Picked up my case best before July 21

  • +1

On a scale of 0 to Xxxx Gold, where do these rank?

  • Got a slab thanks op! Picked up, expiry in august 21.

  • My Cannington WA order has been rejected and they will send me a refund (supposedly - the guy on the phone sounded a bit confused). Apparently every store in Perth is out of stock.

    • so are most melbourne stores near me, brighton, cheltenham, malvern, etc.

    • It's genuinely impressive how quickly ozbargainers have picked pretty much every store in Australia clean of stock.

      • The staff told me they haven't stocked it in several weeks so I'm not sure this is a case of OzBargaining

  • +1

Cannot believe I missed this deal :( One of my fav beers

  • +1

    It wasn't short dated either…

The case I got was best before Jul 21.

Just in time for lockdown to finish.

    • +1

      Same July 21.

There were a dozen cases ready for pick up from my local so there must be a lot OzB fanatics near me.

  • +1

OG pale in bottles going for $63.70 for a carton of 24 at Dan's now. Just picked up from Marden, SA - asked the bloke why they were cheap and he had no idea. The .70 decimal suggests it's a clearance price, my carton is best before August 21 so get in quick! https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_382554/sierra-nevad…
