I've been dealing with Apple for 30 years in retail, and their attitude is below par. Samsung at least give their resellers a discount for staff, and that is why I will continue to support them.
35-40% of an iphone is made from components supplied by Samsung, though the screens lag behind whats on a Flagship Samsung phone. In fact Apple is Samsungs biggest customer in electronics.

Thank Apple, for setting the precedent, along with their other great ideas like no micro-sd slot, taking out the headphone jack, not supplying headphones etc.
At least now, you can read the Imei numbers on their cartons, and they have put them in a spot where they can easily be scanned.Honestly, it's more down to the consumer. Apple removes something, nobody moves to android in retaliation, android follows suite.
You can blame Apple, but really it came down to consumers continuing to purchase their products. When other manufacturers see that Apple didn't start taking losses from these core features been removed, well then it only makes sense they will remove them as well. So no, it wasn't Apple to blame it was consumers.
Let's not forget that Samsung had been mocking Apple for years for removing features, before realising that consumers didn't really care & bought their products anyways, so they chose to become hypocrites & also took the more profitable route.
It's not like Samsung is financially helpless & had no choice but to copy Apple. Despite selling many more lower margin products, Samsung has similar revenue & profit per quarter (2020 Q4 anyways) as Apple. They are just as guilty for being greedy as Apple.
It was half price (approx $35) on the Samsung EPP during the S21 preorder period. I picked one up, even though I had no intention of getting any of the S21 series - I just wanted to future-proof myself in terms of charging.
I'd guess that maybe next time Samsung announces a phone that doesn't come with a charger, they'll put it on sale again to make it easier on people preordering the new phone, so I'd try and pick one up then if they do.Good point. Might have to wait 6 months till the new note range comes out then ☹️
The + was priced too close to the ultra to begin with considering it was basically just a screen size/battery size upgrade over the regular S21.

My friend got ultra for 900ish, as they are working for officeworks they got some kind of a cooperate discounts which is insane 50% off. Try your luck if you know someone working there.

We had similar ones in the bike industry which would put you through some 2 hours of marketing bs for a 30% off cost price discount.@Drakesy: Not 2 hours. This was a 10 question quiz on S21 specs that you could just google the answers to. Like what battery sizes does the range have. Screen refresh rate. MP of the best camera. Stuff like that.

Samsung is Scamsung. I pre-ordered an S21Ultra in its online store. It breaks down within 10 days. It basically disconnects SIM card and drain battery 50% per hour by itself. I brought to the store, the staff says exchange and refund takes 3 weeks. It is a brand new phone and it only lasted 10 days. Any other brand gives you exchange on the spot!!! now it is still being repaired and i am waiting for 22 days now. I called Samsung E-commerce team and they said the warehouse still has not received the faulty phone after 22 days. i am speechless. Never buy Samsung.
