Don't forget to grab Absolute Drift and Rage 2 for this week.

Would it be better to post these the day the deal becomes available? I tend to check new deals more often than the front page.

No. What if you bought sunless sea between now and then because it wasn't posted?

Use the reminder function. It's under the OP.

      • Wait how does this reminder function work? It could change my life.

click on it and find out

      • So smart. I notice Steam usually runs sales on the same games that Epic is giving away for free.

I found this game very frustrating. Mostly because I struggled to get to the stage where you don't lose everything when you die. Gets pretty repetitive. Cool atmosphere though.

    • Interesting, I found it quite relaxing to be honest in a Truck Simulator kind of way. There's only 2 resources to keep an eye on and you can pretty easily avoid most battles by simply turning tail and turbo-boosting your way out of them.

The early game is pretty rough if you try to stray too far away from Fallen London and try to do too much at once, but as soon as you upgrade your Iron a bit (so your ship has more hitpoints) and get a better main gun, it becomes pretty breezy as long as you don't get caught short far from home without enough fuel or supplies, though saving up enough echo to upgrade to a decent ship takes a long, long time (at least 30 hours) and once you've explored most of the in-game map (which you'll probably do by about 20 hours in), it does get repetitive as the remainder of the story consists of fetch quests to locations you've been to dozens of times.

For anyone interested, this will be the next free game from Prime gaming - The Academy: The First Riddle on Steam.

I have an epic account full of free games off Ozbargain that I'm probably never going to play but I'll be sure to also add this one.

I do worse. I not only add the free games to my account but also to my 8 and 10 year old boys' account who one day I hope will realise that there are other games than just Fortnite. As for me, I doubt I will ever even play one damn game…:(

        I'm in the same boat.

However we've got so much play time out of the early Subnautica giveaway that I just keeping adding them, just in case…

      • I'm doing the same, the only ones I've skipped for my 10 year old was GTA V (even his mother's heard of that) and some of the horror ones.

They're on my account, so it's not as if they're not around.

This is one of the most beautiful games to play. So calming. I love this game.

    • How does it compare to the sequel?

  • Great game. Check out the follow up titles too.

I'm getting used to checking Epic end of each week without the update now.

  • Thanks, these weekly reminders to grab the current freebies is appreciated!

  • Almost bought this in the latest steam sale, this is a much better price.

  • Fallen London is by the same people, in the same universe as Sunless Sea, really good browser based game. fallenlondon.com

  • Just saw the trailer; it looks like a simple game but seems beautifully written with a gentle ambiance.

  • Cheers!
