  Terrible reviews, but for $89 what could possibly go wrong? Even the positive reviews mention it dies a good job when cutting up.

  I was told never to buy Homelite, but I thought I new better, I have used it 4 times, haven't even used 3 liters of fuel, it stopped working, just stopped, then it only ran for a few seconds, now will not start at all. I will taking it back to Bunnings for a refund and getting another brand

  I've had great luck with this brand of chainsaw in the past but this 16" has been trouble from the start. Very difficult to start and even after emptying the engine of fuel (and removing the spark plug), it still won't start. I've used chainsaws for years and this is the first one that's disappointed.

  This saw seems to do everything I want. We have a wood fire and a large garden with lots of tea tree, some of which are dead and need cutting up. Dies a good job on the fire wood I have collected.

  I purchased one to cut down some trees on a property my grandmother was selling. It has maybe 50 trees, not massive ones but it went through everything like butter, I'm fairly sure I paid around 90 as well, the chain did loose it's sharpness by end of the second day but you can always re-sharpen then fairly easily

    That’s amazing my Stihl 066 will only go a couple of hours until it needs a sharpen.

      Lots of different opinions on how sharp is sharp. I've seen saws spitting out smokey dust and been told the chain is fine.

      Rule of thumb is sharpen the chain each time u refuel

    I can say from personal experience that yes, it goes through bone like butter.

  I used it to cut up a large tree that had fallen over in the yard. Bar length was certainly too small for what I was using it for but it powered through just fine with multiple cuts - It's quite roughed up after cutting the tree into significantly smaller pieces. There is a screw or two that has come out which holds on the panel where the pullstart cord is - it's ruined the thread on it presumably from the vibrations so I cannot screw back in. Given the price I wouldn't expect them to last too long.

      Sorry for late reply, they were in different stores, anyway I've seen recently the chainsaw in another store and it was $300, like I said depends on the store and they rarely price match another store on clearance items.
