@doperst: Either way, signing up to ebay plus does not prevent you from buying the cheaper option. It opens you up to other ebay plus deals and offers.
Plus, you can use your $50 voucher on the cheaper one too (1 time use so make sure your cart is equal to or great than $50)

Had Ebay plus from just over a year ago, got the $50 voucher back then. I didn't renew and it's been about 2 months since it expired. Never got the banner or any promo but I clicked the link and the sign up page said I have already used the trial and I would be billed instantly. As others have said, no mention of the $50 voucher on the sign up page but upon signing up the following screen gave the voucher.

Haven't renewed ebay plus for about a month and didn't see the promotion anywhere. Clicked on the link through this page and risked it as I couldn't find any answers to whether i'd still be able to get the voucher or not. Worked.

Signed up anyway, and got the $50 voucher immediately on the next page as soon as I clicked sign up! It was also showing in my ebay summary and I had a check box to use it when I was making a purchase.
EDIT: they charged me $48.99 for ebay plus o_o? Saved 1c? lol
So i got my voucher the other day and have been contemplating what to purchase as i have a few things I have my eye on, am I right in thinking that you cant use the code more than once so if I buy something for $30 i immediately forfeit the remaining $20? Also its worth noting too that the $50 voucher is only on the item price, doesn't cover postage.

30 days, and make sure you spend it all in 1 go as it is only 1 time use.

You have 30 days to find something to get with the voucher which isnt hard but the $50 voucher offer has been around for a while. Wouldnt surprise me if it keeps lingering
I was getting this on my screen from few days and after door visors for my Jeep and it was 75$. So I finally, Joined Plus on 1st and ordered visors with 50$ voucher + 25$. Now, today i received email with 20$ gift card valid for 3 years saying mystery gift for joining eBay Plus. So basically i got eBay plus for free + 20$ discount on door visors.

Just as a heads up, the voucher actually expires on 11:59pm on the day before the date stated as the expiry. I had a voucher saying its expiry is 08/03 (today). I tried to use it thinking it expires at 11:59pm today. It was marked as expired already. I went onto eBay chat and they issued me another one expiring 08/04. Confirmed that it will expire 11:59pm 07/04. What's great though, this re-issued voucher works on buying gift cards, so perhaps people can use this method as a work around to buying gift cards like before.
Can confirm that even though there was no mention of the voucher during sign up, after confirming payment the next screen displayed my $50 voucher.

Does anyone know what happens if a seller offers me partial refund on an item I bought with the $50 voucher?
I bought 3 items with the voucher, totalling $52.06. The item is $21.59 and came with a few scratches on it. It is however, still usable. In my paypal, they only deducted $0.85 for this. If I got a partial refund of say $5, will I only get 85c? Since that is how much I paid?
If that does happen Ebay customer service can reissue part of your voucher, happened to me once
Got my refund in the form of ANOTHER $50 voucher! Not sure how it happened, but I was expecting to ask ebay chat to provide a voucher of ~$11 (50% partial refund) and I found a $50 voucher in my ebay summary!

The $50 voucher is a discount not a form of payment, it will track as 0 cashback.

As soon as you click pay, the code will show up on the next screen. It will also appear in your "my summary"

Have another account in that one, i got the voucher used it, (no ebay plus benefits though) used paypal for that account (have enough funds, but in the app it says payment declined, so ebay cancelled eBay plus (still gave me the voucher on that account) BUT THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT DID HAVE MONEY IN IT

I just checked and there is another $50 voucher in my account and T&Cs refers to Ebay Plus. No complaint but check your account as you might also get another voucher!
