Do they sell it without nuts, I have my own?

        • Do they sell OS flights?
          { I have wine, pj’s & nuts }

          • @muncan: Do they sell it without anything, I'm a minimalist?

        • You win kitty.

  • I tried buying the first classe pack and it says it does not deliver to my post code… NSW clearly my suburb is considered too poor for delivery 😭

  • +1

    Points or cash for purchase?

    • Interested to know the same

    • Cash is better value. The $139 is not worth the 24,186 points imo.

I reference points with flight value you could get with them. Depends if you just want to burn points I guess.

  • +2

I think it's sort of dodgy that they don't give you the option of wines they would choose from. What if they gave 2 x $36 bottles of wine?

  • +2

Bought the First Class Experience Pack as my New Year gift, haha!

  • Wish they would find another batch of wine trolleys to sell. I am gutted I missed those.

  • i can't seem to pay with points??

    • Worked for me, you can change to points in shopping cart page

  • +3

I got a $100 red and a $50 white. Paid with points so probably not amazing value but I'm still happy.

    • +1

Yeah the red is pretty amazing, the white wasn't as great …

  • Got my First Class Package today. Got a $80 red and a $25 white. Both readily available at Dan Murphy's and can be bought for cheaper during sales.

PJ's are really soft and look quite comfy.

Enjoyed the novelty of it, but wouldn't say it was anything worthwhile.

    • I don't actually care about the wines in my FCP to be honest. I wanna know if the first class pjs are better than the business ones as I have got a few sets of the business ones…

  • +2

Business Class package is back up to $139 on their website.

  • I fear I went a little Rick Sanchez/Nintendo 3DS Zelda editions on these deals …

  • +1

Got my Business Package today. Got a $40 red (Leogate Shiraz 2016) and a $25 white (Penfold Max's Chardonnay 2017).

  • +1

$85 red and $45 white in my first class package.

  • +2

Received my First Class Package today. Got a $85 red (Shaw And Smith Balhannah Vineyard Shiraz 2016) and $40 white (Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling 2018)

The packet of smoked almonds is past the best before date of 31 January, 2021.

    • +1

I got this set too, not bad, means at least broke even with the novelty of all the extra bits

Can't wait for the champagne set as that is a full bottle apparently

    • I got the same combination as well. Considering myself lucky :)

  • +7

Pretty poor value with my First Class pack regarding the wines, Phi Syrah Heathcote 2018 $32, and Kilikanoon Mort's Reserve Riesling 2016 $29. My almonds were also BB 31/1/21. It's definitely a lucky dip!

    • Is it possible to return it?

    • Same ones as I got :(

    • Got the same. We are probably the ones that fund the better packages :/

  • +1

It’s annoying they put those stupid Qantas stickers on the bottles. Was very difficult to peel off.

  • +1

This is what I received this morning:
Shaw And Smith Balhannah Vineyard Shiraz 2016 ($85)
    https://wine.qantas.com/p/Shaw-and-Smith-Balhannah-Vineyard-…

Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling 2018 ($40)
    https://wine.qantas.com/p/Frankland-Estate-Isolation-Ridge-R…

So it looks like I got my money's worth? Nuts also bb by 31/Jan/2021.

    • Well done, your lucky dip was luckier than mine!

A favour, the QANTAS stickers on the back of the wine, what is the letter after it says Red or White? Mine is the letter "B".

      • +1

Thankful! Yeah, both show the letter "B".

        • I'm intrigued by the letters now seeing that wrl24 got a letter "A" worth much more than mine. Also my wines are no longer even on the QANTAS wines website!?

          • @carlenet: I think you should ring up and provide some feedback! Maybe you might be sent extra wine. It appears your wine is much less value than ours. I think Qantas should aim for a value of $100 for 2 wines imho.

  • +2

    Got the parcel this morning.
Parker First Growth Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 ($95) (Letter A)
    https://wine.qantas.com/p/Parker-First-Growth-Cabernet-Sauvi…

Brokenwood Hunter Valley Semillon 2013 ($25) (Letter B)
    https://wine.qantas.com/p/Brokenwood-Hunter-Valley-Semillon-…

  • Definite lucky dip … got combinations of the following.

    Reds:
    Yarra Yering Pinot Noir 2017
Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth 2010 - (Having had this a few times, anyone who got this is winning !)
Shaw And Smith Balhannah Vineyard Shiraz 2016
    Howard Park Shiraz 2012

    Whites:
Kilikanoon Morts Reserve 2016 (I got an alarming number of this one)
    Holm Oak Sauvignon Blanc 2018

    Overall still very happy :)

  • +2

Bought Business Class and First Class packages:

    Business class:
    - Ladies who Shoot their Lunch: 2017 Wild Ferment Shiraz
    - Penfold's Max's Chardonnay: Adelaide Hills 2017

    First class:
    - Parker Coonawarra Estate: First Growth 2010
    - Brokenwood IV. Mendoza Chardonnay: 2018

    • +3

wow excellent outcome for first class!

  • +1

    just arrived for busines

    Brand's Laira 1968 Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Coldstream Hills Chardonnay 2018 for white * $27 from dan *

    • I got the same, seems like the red is about $30 to $35 ish so not bad, the hand cream is great haha

    • yeah me too but i did not like the red

  • -1

Just got mine, pretty disappointed. Bought first class.

Got PHI single vineyard Syrah heathcote 2018 and bay of fires Riesling 2018.

  • +4

Happy with both of mine, I'm not a wine connoisseur only a casual drinker!

    Business;
Heirloom Vineyards Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon (worth $40)
    Penfold's Max's Chardonnay 2017 (worth $30)

    First Class;
Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth 2010 (worth $95)
2013 Brokenwood Howard Vineyard Semillon (worth $65)

So broke even with the Business pack and great value with the First Class based on the wines alone (referenced pricing on Qantas site)

I really wanted the First Class pack with the Champagne (brothers 50th this year) but took too long to decide what to buy and missed it.

I don't think I can part with what I've received now lol!!

Also want to add that there is no use comparing what each of us received as the wines themselves varied in value and I'd assume most of us knew this before purchasing the packs.

I've never travelled in Qantas Business or First Class, I've really enjoyed these being made available to the general public. Especially since most of us are missing travel these days due to covid restrictions.

Can't wait to test out my new PJ's! I feel like a kid in a candy store right now lol

    • Yeah I love the stuff it comes with ! Even the first class tooth brush !

  • Just got mine today

Business had Max's Chardonnay and Howard Park Flint Rock Shiraz 2017

First had Killikanoon Morts Reserve Riesling (with sticker B) worth $75 on their website and $47 at Nicks. Red was Yarra Yering Pinot (Sticker C) which is apparently worth $100. Also had 10% off with points plus membership so pretty happy.

Devastated my first class nuts also past best before…

    • +3

Yeah, but there were only a few days out. Still quite tasty.

      • First class, to be fair. They were big nuts too.

  • So received my fist class and business packs today and the first class pack had 2 pairs of s/m slippers. I wonder if it’s worth mentioning this to qantas?

    • Instead of 2 x Qantas First Slippers (1 x M/L and 1 x L/XL).

      Also for pyjamas received one s/m and one l/xl instead of 2 x Qantas First Pyjamas (1 x M/L and 1 x L/XL).

I see these are sent by a logistics company at ingleburn so packs are probably packed by humans.

  • +1

So here's the thing……not sure if I should complain or not lol

    Pack was supposed to be:

1 x bottle of Red Wine and 1 x bottle of White wine from the Qantas First Class range (selected from our range of iconic Australian brands and varietals)
    2 x Qantas First Pyjamas (1 x M/L and 1 x L/XL)
2 x Qantas First Amenity kit featuring LaGaia Unedited Amethyst Cream, Lemon Myrtle and Geranium Recovery Mist and Peppermint Lip Balm. Winner of the Best Onboard Amenities in First class with our focus on sustainability (Onboard Hospitality Awards 2020)
    2 x Qantas First Slippers (1 x M/L and 1 x L/XL)
1 x packet of smoked almonds 200g (first class nuts)

    Instead, I received the following:

1 x Tattinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs (valued at $330)
    1 x Pyjamas
    1 x slippers
    1 x amenity kit
    1 x expired peanuts

I was looking forward to the other stuff, over the booze personally - but im kinda on the fence if I should be happy or not because I did buy 2 packs, so I could have 4 sets of PJ's & slippers! Instead got $660 worth of booze! lol

    • So looks like they sent me the wrong pack - paid for 'First Class Experience at Home Wine Pack' but sent me instead the 'First Class Experience At Home S-M'.

    • +2

      I’d take the win …

    • Guess you could try do a swap. I tried to buy the Champagne pack but missed out - https://wine.qantas.com/p/First-Class-Experience-at-Home-S-M…

I only bought 1 of the First Class pack. I think the First Class pack is still online… https://wine.qantas.com/p/First-Class-Experience-at-Home-Win…

Looks like it's back up to regular price though, damn!

Depends on what you were charged - the Champagne one cost $199 on special whereas the other was $139 with wines.

Qantas did mess up the description in the wine pack ones so it could be worthwhile to ask for it to be fixed :)

      • Yeah I paid $139 each for the packs, yet received the $199 packs - which is sweet, but the whole reason I purchased these was for the nostalgia (folks are retirees with over 25yrs service each) and the sizes S/M are small.

Spoke to someone who sounded offshore, took 15mins to explain that the wrong packs were sent. Requested I take photos and send an email explaining what happened.

Might see if I can flog off the bottles for $250 each or something….

        • Did they sort it out for you? I'm secretly hoping they send me the Champagne with my order LOL

          • @blueyez: No reply from Frequent Flyers yet……they're probably perplexed as to why im complaining! lol

            • @TB0n3: I normally resort to social media as they tend to be managed locally. And they did mess up their description of the packs initially, which is probably why you received the Champagne in the first place, so it's on them!

Happy to exchange PJ's for Champagne :P LOL!!! On a more serious note might be able to help with 1 pair of PJ's potentially =)

              • +1

@blueyez: haha thank you for the kind offer!

But FF sent an email this morning advising they will be sending out the PJ's and adding 1000 points to my account for the expired nuts.

Nothing about the Champagne, so score!

                • @TB0n3: Ooh. Didn't think to contact them re: expired nuts but since there are points involved… :D

                • @TB0n3: I only managed to get 500 points for the nuts, better than nothing. There was someone else I didn't receive as described in the business pack and am awaiting a resolution (wrong bottle in my pack)

  • first class pack arrived today. yarra yering pinot noir 2017 and holm oak sauv blanc 2018. couldn't really find any info on what they're worth. yarra has a 2019 for $105 and a 2018 for $110 so i assume the 2017 is somewhere around $115?

the holm oak looks like it's $26.

  • +3

Got my first class pack today and got a decent $129 Red:

    Cullen Diana Madeline 2017: https://wine.qantas.com/p/Cullen-Diana-Madeline-2017/CULDIAM…

Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Chardonnay 2018: https://wine.qantas.com/p/Giant-Steps-Chardonnay-Sexton-Vine…

  • +1

Returned the first pack as the wine selection was terrible. Straightforward process - they email you a label and you just drop it off at Australia Post. Second pack arrived today Yarra Yering pinot noir 2017 and Holm oak sauv blanc 2018. Nuts are still expired.
