  • still a bit overpriced.
CABLE TRAY - a piece of metal with few holes for $25 ?

  • Hi ChiMot. I guess that's one way to look at it!! The other way to look at it is you're getting a quality looking tray (to match a premium desk) with a high quality powder coating that matches the desk frame colour. They have laser cut holes in strategic spots and a profile that's perfectly suited to being used with accessories whilst allowing you to position it almost anywhere under the desk! In my cable tray, I have 6 point power board, plus docking station, plus power transformer, plus a monitor transformer and there's room to spare.

  • i remember when instead of a "fatigue mat" people would use a "chair"………..

  • Hi Fantacular. The purpose of the anti-fatigue mat is definitely NOT to replace a chair. Not by any stretch. It's not a competition on how long you can stand for. In fact, if you own an adjustable height standing desk, it's most certainly advised that you also sit during the day. The anti-fatigue standing mat is to help you to get the most out of your standing desk by reducing muscular fatigue allowing you to stand for longer periods than may otherwise be comfortable without it. This is particularly so if you have a pre-existing condition or are new to the concept of standing at a desk.

Here's a really great article written by a qualified Physio on sitting / standing durations: https://updowndesk.com.au/pages/how-long-should-i-stand-at-m… .

  • Any offer on sit/stand desks? Cheers

  • +1

Hi pradeepisin. Yes, we're currently offering 10% off most of our UpDown Desk PRO Series range including frames only: https://updowndesk.com.au/collections/standing-desks-pro-ser… . Cheers.

    • Can you do any better than this? With that 10% you seem to only be towing the line with competitors such as Desky/Omnidesk. If you can come out ahead I would consider buying. Do you have any plans for a better promotion?

      • Hi Algy. Thanks for the note. We do run other promotions from time to time. 'Better' promotions is probably not the word i would use as each promotion is different for different customers. For example, previous promos have entailed free shipping, which is advantageous to our interstate customers, but not so much for our local pickup customers. Our current promos are great for those who have a desk already.

I can't speak for any other brands in particular, but when you do you research you should note that many desks found in Australia are not built the same as ours. Our frames alone come in at 42kg; most located in Australia are between 34 - 36.5kg (sometimes less). Weight is really important when it comes to stability and it raises questions about why some desks have been made lighter; where have they compromised build quality? Where have they dropped 5-7kg's or 15% off the frame weight!?

Also, we offer a full 10 year warranty on our PRO Series frames (yes, this includes motors/electrics) AND we have a 30 day money back guarantee with FREE returns. I believe most of our competitors just offer one or the other (and some don't have a trial period at all).

I'm on Live Chat regularly, so if you'd like to discuss further, please hit me up, I'm always on for a chat! Cheers.
