  • No OMN1s FYI (for those looking).

  • Also don't see any Fresh Foam 1080s (for those looking)

  • Just bought a pair of the Fuelcell Propel V2's for $90, see how they compare to the first propels I've got.

    • Are these good for beginners?

      • +1

A few reviews I've read on the V2 version reckon they'll be ok for beginners.
All depends on what type of shoe you like, from reviews these seem bit firmer than the V1's I've been using, so will see how the feel when I get them.

I have had a pair of propel v2's for a couple of months now, it will be a decent shoe for beginners, the toebox is quite roomy, fuel cell is great for shorter distances, the main complaint I have with the shoe is that the tongue is abit short and if I use the last eyelet for the runners knot, the laces sit above the padding on the tongue and it's not as comfortable

    • Nice & very much tempted, although the v1 I bought last year is still in the box. Haven't run much lately :(

So they've turned up in the mail, my first impressions slimer profile than the V1, much snugger around the foot with a firmer feeling in the sole, definitely not as soft as the V1.
Decent grip in the outsole and looks like it'll last a decent distance before wearing out.

Sizing for me is same as V1 in where my toes end, maybe the toebox feels a touch smaller but not much in it.
My wife says I've got frogs feet ! lol

Yes the tongue is good bit shorter, another cm may have helped to not have it rub slightly on the ankle if you wear short socks, also luckily I don't need to use the last eyelet as they are snug enough around my midfoot area, and the heel feels ever so slightly snug around my heel.

Not sure on how it'll feel in hotter days, only been low 30s today, as the upper mesh though breathable has a slight padded feel imo along with the padding on tongue.
Feet used to get warm in the V1 shoe during hotter summer days.

Hopefully after a few k's the shoe will soften slightly.

  • Grabbed some 420's in the Navy Grey/Sulphur Yellow for $45 delivered. Cheers.

Good for kicking around the garage and taking the kids to the park! Dad Shoe approved!
