Emergency Power Bank (6000mAh) with Car Jump Starting Leads (400A Max) $34.95 w/Free Shipping (was $89.95) @ Laserco

200
LASER10

EDIT:$34.95 with coupon LASER10 at checkout.

If you own a cheap car with no headlight warning like I do, this may be a good item to keep in the glove box.

Just FYI - take note of the capacity - this should be able to turn over a small engine with a capacity of <2.5L. Most of the mainstream jump start power bank combos usually advertise a capacity of 1000A+ (which is usually enough to start almost any mainstream car engine). For someone like me with a scooter and cars that have 660cc and 990cc engines, 400A should be absolutely plenty and a $45 power bank should keep me out of trouble should I forget to turn my headlights off or something and save me from having to spend twice as much on something that'd be overkill for my cars.

If only I could kiss you. Saved my bacon, I was just about to go through checkout.

      post edited.

  • Thanks Op! Do nicely kept in the glovey.

  • Great bit of kit. Had the 12000mah version and it was a treat.

Although, last time I bought from the laser website, my credit card got scammed right afterwards.

    • Is there a 12000mah version? I can't find it.
      Safer to pay with paypal

Bought from kogan.com.au and arrived dead after 9 days of order. The battery pack is swollen as battery are already damaged, charged overnight as per instructions and it is still dead. The product says it complies with Australian manufacturing standards but i couldn't find a manufacturing date either on packaging or the product. Will stay away from this brand.

    Received mine yesterday

It included a coupon inside the packaging which expires 1 August 2017, lol

The battery seems to work fine, need to flatten my car battery to test its jump start capability…

    • OK interested to know your feedback.

I disconnected my car battery and connected the car's battery leads to the clamps. Started the car just fine.

    • I received mine yesterday too.
It also had the coupon with an expiry date of 1 Aug 2017, so they appear to be clearing out very old stock.
From my understanding, powerbanks/batteries have a limited shelf life, so I'm not too impressed.
Mine appears to be DOA anyway, so very disappointing overall.

      • I thought the same, but then I peeled a sticker off which exposed the LEDs.

        • Does yours make a loud high pitched white noise sound you plug it in to charge it?
Mine sounds like an old 56k modem connecting to the internet!

I'm not at all confident that it's even safe to charge, let alone capable of starting my car in an emergency.

Got mine today, it’s swollen/bulging so won’t bother opening it..

  • Thanks OP. Got mine yesterday, charged it. Not swollen or noisy. Flashlight and the power bank works. I did not try to jump start my car. The built quality looks good. It is better than what I expected.

  • I ordered one of these and the power bank was swollen and DOA. Thankfully they're going to refund.
