Just saw this great price for newly released Nintendo Switch Mario Edition model which is matched with Mario outfit colour and look super cool. Comes with bonus free case too.

        It has more to do with the fact that Nintendo expected this to sell better, but most retailers have plenty of stock available.

        Even the scalpers didn't want it.

          Scalpers don't want it because the second hand switch market is terrible right now.

          They are still struggling to sell their AC consoles and theres a combination of everyone got a switch due to covid so market is flooded as well as an inevitable possibility of a switch pro.

            @freoleo: everyone has a switch and since there is litterally no technolgical difference except a few more hours of battery, a colour change isn't enough for most people.

      100% and you could have done a blue strip at the bottom. Either way I still think it's the best looking switch since the Animal Crossing Edition. The Neon is getting tired.

    Mario’s colour scheme has been red and blue since the late 1980’s, a blue and red coloured Mario themed console makes sense. Is the Ozbargain outrage over the colour combination or the shaded of blue and red? I don’t get the hate.

      I don't hate it because it's Mario's colour scheme. I intensely dislike it because it's not aesthetically pleasing.

      I think the issue is that the joycons and the main body are both red, so if you're playing handheld it's just one big red console not red and blue.

      Could easily have been coloured different to make it look way more appealing.

      You can go on chat and ask them if they could credit the diff. Sometimes they do credit rather than refund, which is still fine by me.

        I've done this before for a $12 price drop, and they basically said, sorry we're unable to give a credit for a price difference, here's a $15 credit for the inconvenience.
