    Great price. Well done OP

    • It is a good price on the face of it but given the persistent problems that a reasonable number of people are having it just appears too risky. Maybe others have a better appetite for those kinds of issues, but not moi.

  • +2

This is a great price for the 75 inch one

  • Great TV for a bargain!

  • None in WA :(

  • this is one or wait for X9500H to some on special price

    • +3

      not HDMI 2.1 for X9500H

      • But it has eArc and less issues

        • +1

          The X9000H has eArc

          • @Thunder-Wombat: I think he means because it has eARC you can connect 2.1 devices directly to the tv and pass through HD audio to the receiver.

  • +2

Wow. There was a time i was waiting for a box damaged one to show up on ebay for around 2.6.
    Great find

  • +6

How good would PornHub look on this.

    • Looks better on Occulus Quest.. according to a friend.

      • wow….can probably see what was for dinner on an Occulus

  • +3

And JB still make money on this price? Amazing find!

85Inch @ $3k. Come on JB, You can do it!

  • +4

Crap closest store for me is Erina or Wollongong

  • +4

Great tv. Got one a few months back for $3k, this is a steal. Good luck with stock levels however…

  • +1

Sony tgg hn should all price match

  • +1

Cracker price! Must be making way for new models.

  • Does anyone know if the VRR patch has gone live for this model yet?

    • +5

Nah, and Sony at one point removed the VRR promise from their product page.

Of course, everyone got mad furious and Sony put the promise back in the page, probably to avoid lawsuits.

      • +1

        Coming soon!™

        • it's "Coming Soon"

      • It's still omitted from this page: https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/televisions/x90h-series/…

We purchased this TV for gaming using a RTX3080 and PS5 and got a refund for the following reasons:
        1. 120hz mode was blurry in all resolutions (even 1080p)
        2. Sony removed VRR and ALLM for the product specifications page as per the above link
        3. When asking Sony why they removed the above features, they couldn't provide an answer, and offered a refund.

I don't believe Sony will update this TV as per their original 'promises'.

Now have a LG CX, which while more expensive, actually does everything it's advertised to do out of the box and looks amazing.

          Wrong.

          Last Modified : 11/01/2021

X90H - listed as Yes for VRR AND ALLM:
4 There are plans to make these features available via software update. It is recommended that you always update the TV to the latest software version. For assistance on how to perform an update, refer to the How to perform a software update article.

          Also: https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarcher/2021/01/13/sony-conf…

Sony: “XH90 will support VRR and ALLM via a future firmware update. Any articles on Sony sites that stated otherwise have been updated with the correct information.”
US readers may be concerned that the statement I was sent (I’m based in the UK) only explicitly references the European XH90 model numbering. But I have double checked with Sony, and they have confirmed that the statement also applies to X900H models.

  • Is it one of the best TV’s for PS5?

    • +2

      For its price range, yes.

      In any price range, middle.

  • +5

Cheers mate, yea I heard about that drama. Have to admit, with the 2021 models launching within the next 2-3 months (most likely) it doesn't inspire confidence that they will ever patch this in.

Still a fantastic price for a great TV though. I'm sure most people will be happy with it, especially at the 75" size!

Instead of downvoting, respond with a reason as to why you think my comment is wrong?

if I was to buy this TV for an XBOX X or PS5, I would want to know if it was capable out of the box to play 4k @ 120hz, not hope it one day comes as a firmware update…

          • +1

@Danstar: Not sure why you're being downvoted. We bought this TV for the PS5 and RTX3080 gaming and ended up getting a refund due to:
            1. 120hz mode was blurry in all resolutions
            2. Sony removed VRR and ALLM for the product specifications page
            3. When asking Sony why they removed the above features, they couldn't provide an answer, and offered a refund.

I don't believe Sony will update this TV as per their original 'promises'.

Now have a LG CX, which while more expensive, actually does everything it's advertised to do and looks amazing.

            • +1

@kittymtd: not sure why. I was looking at buying this TV for the very fact I thought it could play 4K content @ 120hz….But it can't. So thought I should post it for others to be aware of…

  • Amazing TV, crazy price I wouldn’t miss it!

  • Tried price match with HN online chat, "Unfortunately, we cannot price match this item because the competitor price is significantly below our market value and they only offer this product in-store and not online."
