April's PS5 game for PS Plus was announced in the State of Play.

Doesn't appear to be any PS Plus games for March.

        PlayStation and Insomniac Games will make Ratchet & Clank PS4 available for free download for a limited time through PlayStation Store from March 1 at 8pm PST / March 2 at 4am GMT / 5am CET to March 31, 2021 at 8pm PDT* / April 1 at 4am BST / 5am CEST. Funimation service from 25th March.

      I really hope not, the majority already have Ratchet and Clank. It was free on PS+ in the past, I'd be very disappointed if my paid subscription game for the month was something they've already given out.

      Edit: In fact they've already given it out free twice. Once for PS+ and once for the PS+ Collection of PS5.

    Nice. I was on the fence about this one (didn't love the remake of the first game compared to the original classic..) but now I don't have to decide on a purchase I guess.

    The Plus games for the PS5 have been pretty legit so far :D

    Holy hell, that's amazing.

    Easily one of the best if not the best PS Plus offerings for me - love this series and would have instabuyed the game if it wasn't free.

    How are so many still saying it’s free? No you paid for it. Ratchet and clank is going to be free. But ps plus games are not free. Stop calling subscription games free ffs.

      PS Plus and similar subscriptions are defacto the norm for people for their many benefits. Many have had them for a decade. Anything added is seen as a free bonus since they're not subscribing for that particular item.

      I pay for online play. The games are icing. I'd pay for the service even if I didn't get the games. For me, the games are free.

      I also pay Amazon Prime for free shipping. It comes with Prime Video. I'd pay for the service even if I didn't get Prime Video. For me, Prime Video is free.

        And even then, if you took the next best sale price of the games history on the store and added that cost up for every game they put into ps plus for the last year, I'm willing to bet the value of all those games comes to a higher number than you would be paying for a year of ps plus anyway, so technically, some games actually are "free"

        Originally PS Plus was only for online save backups, store discounts and monthly games. If anything online play is the icing and the monthly games are the cake since i subscribed all the way back then.

        Also using Amazon Prime as a supporting example is stupid. They’re the worst culprits of all. Everything with Prime membership is described as “free”, “at no extra cost”, read free, stream free, free-loot, free games monthly… then what are you paying for if everything is a “extra”, “bonus” or “free”?

        My whole point is it’s all marketing boloney which is incorrect/deceptive. Even if the games “feel” free, extra or a bonus to you, that just because some old and current marketing worked on you. Calling ps plus games or Amazon prime games free devalues actually free games. Like Epic’s free games. PlayAtHome with Sony

      Not everyone will pay $80 a year for PS Plus. I'm guessing this game would have retailed for around that price also, so if they get a few new subscribers to PS Plus (which is the aim here), then Sony will hope they discover the other freebies and renew every year.
      I love this style of game, but talking to p[eople younger than me its become evident all the kids only like FPS and similar games.
